Mayboos 72 Pcs Crochet Hooks Set, Crochet Hooks Kit

I don't think there's anything that could have made me happier with this purchase! It comes with just about every size of crochet hook you could ever need (besides the ones used for super chunky blankets maybe) and a cute little pouch to keep them in! Plus you get the stitch markers, tapestry needles (with a plastic tube to keep them in), stitch holders, and ruler to measure gauge which is all just an added bonus! I did a lot of research before deciding which crochet hook set to buy and after literally MONTHS of debating I went with this one because it was the best price for the number of hook sizes you get (30 different sizes, some repeats so more hooks than that actually). I would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a nice quality, reasonably priced crochet hook set! And just so that my review isn't only good things because obviously everything has at least minor flaws... the extremely tiny crochet hooks seem like you could snap them or at least bend them if you tried... but when the crochet hook is the thickness of a paperclip is that really surprising??? But overall this was a great purchase (it was actually my b-day present from my boyfriend because he had seen me looking at it for like 5 months straight) and I really hope this review convinces others to choose this kit because I promise you WILL NOT be dissapointed!

This is an amazing set of crochet hooks for an amazing price. Item came packaged well. All items were present and accounted for, well made zippered storage bag that holds everything with some extra room for more. All of these hooks seem to be the correct size according to the gage guide that comes with this set and one I already had at home. The steel hooks are my favorite! I love to crochet with lace size thread and this kit provides all of the sizes you could ever need. Those smaller size hooks can be hard to find in stores and expensive to buy one at a time if you do find them. My second favorite are the ergonomic hooks. These are great to prevent fatigue and pain in the hands and wrist. I am very happy with this purchase and would definitely buy again!

This is a great set for a beginner (and probably a great set for a pro too, but I'm not there yet so I can't yet make that claim). It has a couple different styles of hooks so you can try both and see what is more comfortable for you. Lots of extras I don't yet know what to do with but I assume I'll understand as I gain more experience. The case is nice too, though I think some other reviews said it had words or designs on it(?), mine was plain grey just like the picture. The zipper is nice and it seems sturdy. Overall this is a great set for a great price.

I bought this for my sister and I, after I started teaching her to crochet during quarantine. It is a great set for beginners. She loves the all metal set which she frequently uses for animaguri. I prefer hooks with a steeper angle and sharper slit at the top but that doesn't suit all yarn. I've found myself reaching for the silicone handled set more and more. I've completed three projects with these hooks and am more than satisfied with the value of what I received. I use the stitch counters constantly and love that it includes a gauge guide. The bag itself is actually quite sturdy and of a far better quality than I thought it would be. Do not let the look of the bag be a deciding factor in purchasing this set. That's easy to make or replace. These hooks will suit for years and are of an equal quality of those found at most stores like walmart, but for a far better deal. 10/10 would purchase again. I cant wait to explore just how many hooks I have now.

*UPDATE* 7/5/23 I'm changing my review from 3 to 4 stars. After using these hooks to learn to crochet, I found I didn't need nor want any others! I really like the ergonomic handled ones, they're small and light enough for my hands, and easy to find in the bag bc of their different colors. The little bag is great too, collects cat hair though beware! (Haha) I don't really use any of the full metal hooks except as a backup, or as a helping hand with tight loops. They have stood up to time and toddler though, even the smallest of the aluminum! None broken or even bent, surprisingly. Had I received the correct size gor the 9mm and 10mm (see original review) this would have been upgraded to 5 stars 🌟 Still, worth buying! *ORIGINAL REVIEW* The whole set is pretty great for the most part. I chose this set for the range of sizes, the different handles, and the accessories. As a beginner, I didn't want to spend too much getting started and had no idea what size hooks I would need, and I didn't want to find a pattern I liked but then need to wait until I could get the right hook size to start. So far I've really enjoyed the ergonomic handles, especially because I always have cold hands and the all-metal hooks feel so cold! They are all almost exactly the same style as the Boye hooks. I had a couple Boyes already and never tried any other kind, so I felt comfortable with these. My only complaint is the sizing on the larger hooks. I didn't notice before today when I bought myself a couple Susan Bates hooks to try an inline, the 10mm was so much bigger than the 10mm from this set! I got out some calipers and measured every single hook, and all were within .1mm of their printed size.... except the 8, 9, and 10mm. All three measured just under 8mm! I double checked that I wasn't accidentally sent 3 of the same hook, but each one is printed with a different size. So I'm disappointed that I now have to add to what I thought was a complete set of hooks. I don't know how to measure the steel hooks. The necks are tapered, and as they are super tiny, the calipers don't fit under the hook... but I don't trust that they are the correct sizes. I've included pics of the set (minus some pieces my toddler has run off with!), the three larger hooks with the calipers and next to the Susan Bates 10mm (light pink hook), and a closeup of the steels to show how they taper. Of course, I also had to include my current WIP! It'd be nice if I could get the correct sized hooks for the incorrect 9mm and 10mm I received, but it's not worth returning. Honestly, the set is worth it, I just couldn't quite give it 4 stars, but 3-stars isn't enough either.

Can't beat this package. I started crochet recently (to do arigumuri mostly) and this kit has been great. Tons of hooks (more than you'll ever need), yarn needles, stitch markers and more. At first it took me a little bit to get used to the hooks - the one that I had learned on was a sharper, more pronounced hook, but I got used to these quickly and saw in stores that all the ones that were for sale were just like these. I prefer the rubber handled hooks, they feel like they cause less fatigue. The only potential downside (that doesn't affect me) is that they're marked only in millimeters and not US sizes, but the kit comes with a measuring tool and conversion info.

I am a beginner and decided to get this set. From what I received I have hooks small enough to do lace all the up to a 10mm hook, row counters, and needles. This is a complete set for beginners and a great gift. I bought one for myself and bought one for a friend who is also learning to crochet. There two sets of crochet hooks, one set that has the grip and the other that doesn't so it's up to you when it comes to comfort. My first project is almost complete. I am making a teddy bear. Thanks to the case everything came in it is SUPER easy to transport my hooks with me. The case is great quality and had me side eying it to use as a regular wallet lol.

Oh man, I gotta tell ya, I've been using these yarn crochet hooks for a while now, and they're pretty awesome! They're super comfy in your hand, which is a big deal when you're crocheting for hours, you know? Plus, they glide through the yarn like butter—no snagging or anything. But, um, one thing though, I wish they came in more vibey colors. The ones I got are kinda bland. But hey, they do the job well, so can't complain too much, right? Overall, solid choice for anyone lookin' to get their crochet on!
