I needed this in order to burn photos onto disc since my Alienware laptop does not have an internal disc drive. It worked perfect!!! I have to say it was big bang for the buck. Not only was it just plug in and use, I had no issues with it working. I would prefer the cord to be slightly longer but it tucks perfectly onto the device and stays out of the way for storage or taking with you without cords being tangled or lost. The shipping was fast, surprised it actually came faster than expected, then again Amazon is spot on with delivery dates.. and last but certainly not least, the packaging was perfect and really protected for shipping. I would give this item more stars if I could! Definitely purchase this if you need an external driver.. for anything from burning discs to watching a movie on the go.. it's great! I would purchase it again!

I bought this external drive to compliment my new HP Notebook computer which didn't come equipped with one. The truth is that I was a little leery of making this purchase because of the ridiculously low price. I'm a firm believer in the old adage that you only get what you may for but in this case the product was easily worth 3 to 4 times what I paid for it. I had never done business with this seller before but I surely will buy from him again in the future if he has a product that I'm looking for.

My computer was thrown to the ground by my daughter, which made my computer drive unable to read my CD. My husband bought me an external computer drive. He is very light, and it can be connected directly to the computer, and he can put it in my handbag.

It’s hard to find computers with these built-in now so this is a good thing to have now.

Purchased this to use on a Mac computer that is only 1 yr old...... computer cannot even recognize the dvd unit. It is worthless to me to play anything!!

I have tried this thing on several computers with several different programs and can not get it to properly burn data.
