Portland, OR Rider
Had to write a review about these as soon as I got into work. I had been on a 10 year + hiatus from riding a cycle recently made the decision to downgrade from my SUV to a year round commuter Honda 919. One of my concerns was the amount of rain we get in OR, since my primary experience was riding in Southern California, where there is a fraction of the wet weather. My commute from home to work is about 4 miles each way, so I decided, after reserching rain gear, that I would go for it. I decided to buy these, even though I had some reservations about the open bottom, since I thought I may ride through a puddle on time to time and the water would seep through the opening, as others have commented.Last night we received a pretty solid downpour, and there were puddles everywhere this morning. I went through one that was probably 4-5 inches deep at a cross street, and water came all around me, up to my helmet! It was nothing short of a water fountain show. Luckily I was wairing my rain pants (Firstgear High Vis Sierra Pants) under these covers. I got to work expecting the worst, and not one drop had hit my shoes, or my pants. I am sitting comfortably writing this review, and getting ready to begin my work day without any discomfort. As far as the firt, it will depend on your body type. I am a size 12, and a bigger build. I have bigger legs, and a large fits perfectly over my shoes and up over my calves, just under the knee. I would imagine needing an XL if I wore motorcycle boots, but I usually don't, since my commute is so short. If you are of a bigger build, I would buy one size up so that they will cover your boots also, or else you may not have much room to fit your tree trunks along with with your boots. I would say that these are true to the specs others have given.

Good product recommended, but not perfect
The quality of materials and workmanship are excellent. My size XL of Tourmaster boots fit exactly on the size L rain cover. The boot toe fits nicely into the toe pocket and the side/rear elastic hem pulls the cover to the boot heel to hold it securely onto your boot. The strap fits nicely in front of the heel against the sole so you won't walk on it. The amount of extra fabric to make the upper part is not too large and needs to be that large to be able to get it on. I think the zipper needs to be a little longer to make it easier to get on, but there is probably a reason for that in the design. At first it was difficult to get the cover over the boot, but when I learned to make the top center seam aligned properly, it was much easier. The elastic at the top is just right and has a good inner snap to hold the zipper shut. Great product all around. The seams are taped nicely to keep water out and the zipper is flap covered. You cannot walk in deep water or the water will enter on the sides.

They stay put
Put under rain pants use Velcro to tighten up and ready to go. Vary light and packable will fit in a quart bag . Good to go. Many miles on my first pair. Retired them after 5years 40k miles. In Seddle bag and use. New ones have Velcro on no zipper . Much better.

Not ideal for bicycles
I bought these as an inexpensive alternative to products made specifically for bicycling. They keep water out fine, but aren't really designed for bicycles. They are pretty baggy, and make too much contact with the front chainring. If you wear them under your rain pants it's okay, but I was hoping to use them over normal pants when it's not actually raining, just wet out. Quality seems good though, they should last at least a couple seasons.

Wet or cold these rock
I bought these during the summer knowing that winter was going to be the real test. I ride to work very early in the morning and it is always cool. During the winter the cold is terrible, blowing right through my work shoes. I use these with my shoes and there is no more cold. I have also used these on trips where I ended up in the rain. They worked very well over my heavy boots. I have added Superbike handlebar mitts(on Amazon) and cold is a thing of the past now.I would, and probably will, buy these again. I have suggested these to several of my friends and they love them as well.update: 9/17/19 Still using my original pair and still loving them. Perfect for rain But really work well to cut out the cold during winter riding. They are starting to show wear so I will be buying a new set soon.

Easy to put on
These boot covers will keep your feet dry and they are fairly easy to put on. The only downside is the part that covers the sole of the boot was showing a lot of wear. Given how they are used, I didn’t walk with them on very much, but they looked like they could wear out easily.

Great Product
Actually my name is Morgan, Mary is my wife. These Rain Covers worked perfectly. I used them on a recent trip to Arkansas on my bike. They were easy to put on over my lace up boots and are zippered. They do not hinder your ability to walk. I wear a size 11 and they were tight and kept the water off of my boots. I wore my rain pants over top of them. They are easy to pack away and take up very little room. The price was reasonable and the quality seems to be very good.

Quality Purchase
Solid product and appears to be a quality made durable product. After many reviews against similar other products, this one stacks up to it's reputation. I recommend this and I would buy again if I ever needed another. Thanks to the supplier for this one.
