Xuron2175B Semi Flush Shear

Very useful for a model railway enthusiast.

I purchased it to cut model rail "oo" track. Having tried junior hacksaw ( difficult to hold track for cutting) other plier-type cutters ( need strong hands and leave an untidy end) I now use the Xuron cutters which are easy to use and with some care leave a tidy end that needs only minimal finishing with a swiss file.Excellent product and good value at the price.Not sure why it is labelled as Glass Cutter.

The cutters work a treat.Had some problems with track layout not fitting correctly, it was either just too long or just short of the length needed.With these, the track layout now fits perfectly and is a Much needed tool to have handy when creating a new set up.I was surprised how easy they are too use. It doesn't take much force and they cut the metal on the tracks straight so the fishplates can be attached easily.Would deffinately recommend them

Well built and designed.Sturdy construction.Does leave a slight rough edge.

So far they have handled delightfully and done the modelling job I bought them for. Close cutting, without leaving a a distorted burr.

I personally bought these because I needed them for jewelry making, and they are very effective at cutting all sorts of threads (cotton, elastic, wire), and cut very cleanly. I would definitely recommend for this purpose, and for cutting electrical wires as they have very comfortable rubber handles, and cut wire very easily.

This pair has worked better than any other name brand that I've had. I'm only using them on code 55 n scale track but they're working great
