Master Class in rehabilitation
I have long been a fan of Joanne’s work. This book is the easiest of all her books to understand and use to help in the recovery of injuries. I recommend this book.

A treasure trove of functional movement gems!
This book has been perfectly timed for any therapists like me in lockdown and missing courses and input, inspiration and learning.Joanne has managed to condense so much brilliant stuff from her workshops and JEMS rehabilitation trainings into a very readable and useful book.Whether you’re already a total Joanne convert or looking for new and better ways to work more effectively with people’s movement, habits and awareness as an osteopath, physio, chiropractor or yoga or Pilates teacher, this is a pot of (more) gold.Lots of exploration and experiential stuff to really help you feel what’s going on in the body as well as really key concepts and essential tools to make ease and efficiency a possibility in ourselves and people we work with functionally.

A must read for anyone working in the movement world.
This book inspired me to go and do Joannes course. I am a pilates, yoga and movement teacher. This book is of tremendous value. For me it has opened up the door of possibility's in the body, with a new and fresh vocabulary. and invites working with a variable system that moves beyond Pilates and Biomechanics. It has shaken the old patterns , given clarity to functional blurs and introduced new movement to the system. I feel I have a new way of seeing and using vocabulary in my teaching.I am very grateful to Joanne sharing this work that is clearly moving along with modern science, and will help teachers turn down the volume so that you can really see what is going on in the modern body! I can’t wait for the work to filter into my teaching.

Love this book!
If you've got as far as reading reviews you are considering buying this book. My advice is just hit the button! If you already know Joanne's work then this book is the natural progression in your JEMS journey as it is in mine. If you've never read Joanne's work before then I cannot recommend the book highly enough. The concepts are easy to take in but don't be fooled into thinking it's simple common sense, Joanne's talent lies in translating complex theory into very practical usable techniques. Whether health/movement professional, sports person or just curious, the book will help maximise both your own and others performance.

Joanne's insights are game changing.
Joanne has an amazing ability to coalesce the complexity of being human - from psychosocial to biomechanical - into practical, teachable, effective techniques. Should be required reading for all movement professionals!

Another gem of a book from Joanne
This is a book that is as good a read as it is packed with useful and applicable information about the insights and detail of helping people find their movement potential. Joanne makes the science accessible and applicable to whole body functional movement: from those who just want to be active to those who are elite performers. It might seem simplistic and just 'common sense', because Joanne has taken the complexity of the science and research about the body and mind and eased it into this book. It is as practical and developmental as it is clear, concise and precise. It will more than service the professional exercise teacher and trainer, movement therapist, physiotherapist and osteopath as it will enlighten and enthuse. If you get the chance to be part of Joanne's JEMS world, her books, her courses, knowing her accredited practitioners, you will not regret it in anyway. It can change lives.
