Corn Husks are the outside green leaves on a cob of corn, that we usually peel off and discard. You can use them, fresh or dried, as packages to wrap food in for cooking — usually steaming. They give the food a wonderful corn flavour. Normally the husks are dried and stored for cooking. Review: Nice quantity and size fir the money - Came well packed and nicely stacked. Make sure you wash each husk separately to remove the sulfur powder they use to keep them separated and only take as many as you require out of the bag at any one time. The bag appears to have well in excess of 100 husks per bag so I have at least 200 that will last for multiple attempts at making Tamales. The first batch came out OK, just a little blander than our tastes dictate. But that was nothing a little enchilada sauce could ot fix immediately. Def will buy from this vedor again when the need arises in the future. Review: Great tamales - These made the perfect size tamales. A bit pricey but 99% of the husks were perfect for use

Good product if you don't live near an ethnic grocery
These are perfectly fine. However, I have now found some that are equivalent in the grocery section of a local Mexican store and the same costs me $3.50! I get a lot of dolls out of one pace, so seriously if I did not live near a Mexican grocer, I would gladly pay the price here. They dye very well, so I color entire packs at a time to be ready to craft. Soaking is water with a bit of glycerin makes them easy to handle. Good purchase if you don't have other buying options.

Regular dried corn husks. I purchased these for papermaking. Basically, I didn’t want to buy corn for the husks because I don’t like corn that much, but I did want to try to use the fibers for papermaking. One lb of corn husks, as you’d imagine, are a nice stack of them. I’d say it’s close to 100 corn husks. I’ll get some nice sheets of handmade paper out of these and I appreciate the fast shipping and nice price.

Quality
I make tamales in large numbers 1 to 2 times per year. These are clean, sized nicely, and of good quality. They are a great purchase and I will buy again.

Mold and Formaldehyde
If 0 was an option, I would choose 0!!! The husks were moldy and had a very strong smell of formaldehyde. This is supposed to be a food item but it is NOT SAFE FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION!
