Mineral Sunscreen - Body Lotion SPF 50

At first I was a little skeptical about the product because everyone seemed to dislike the quite obvious white cast, but had decided to try it because I like the formulation and I needed a sunscreen badly! When I first tried it, I found that it was difficult to spread because of how thick and concentrated it is, and yes, it leaves quite a white cast this way...and my skin is pretty white. I also did notice that it made me break out on my arms where I mainly used it...I was just about ready to give up on this sunscreen until...bum bum bummmmmm. If you take a dab of the product on one hand, then take the other hand and run your fingertips through water so they are a little damp, not drenched, then massage the lotion together with both hands first, and then apply to your body...you will find that it is a LOOOOT easier this way; it helps the ingredients dissolve a bit better, it spreads better, it has noticeably less white cast, and you can layer it on like this. I actually feel better coverage overall, and you can visibly see an actual sheen reflecting off light, as is how these mineral sunscreens are supposed to work. Try it before you give it up.

When I first applied it, I may have put too much on because it definitely had a white tint. I waited about 30 minutes, and it was still pretty white, like I didn't want to go outside like that. So then I got a paper towel and wiped my arms with it. And that seemed to spread it around more evenly, lightly. Then I thought like it was a make up artist and would they use that brush to move the makeup around somebody's face and spread it evenly, that is what the towel did. I know it is still on and it feels ok, good. I may get a small cloth to help me apply lotion from now on.

I bought this product because I trust the CeraVe brand, but this is by far the worst sunscreen I've ever used. The biggest issue is the extremely noticeable white cast. I tried applying thin layers and blending it carefully, but it never absorbed into my skin. Instead, it left a thick, chalky white appearance that looked almost like white paint. In my opinion, this sunscreen may work better for people with very fair skin. If you have a medium, tan, or darker skin tone, the white cast is likely to be very noticeable. Another downside is that it transfers easily to clothing. Anything that comes into contact with the sunscreen ends up with white marks that are difficult to remove. I also found it very difficult to apply on areas with body hair, such as my legs. The product tends to cling to the hair, making it almost impossible to spread evenly and leaving a very visible white residue. The sun protection may be effective, but because of the cosmetic appearance and the difficulty of applying it, I would not purchase it again or recommend it to anyone who doesn't have very fair skin.

I really wanted to like this and had high hopes for it since I love my CeraVe lotions The good - it does provide adequate sun protection. I burn easily and need to reapply sunscreen approx every 30 mins (no matter the spf or brand recommendation) and in the time i was out in the sun i didnt get burned i did however feel my skin getting hotter then usual which was uncomfortable. The things I dont like - this sunscreen never really dried and/or soaked in. It just sat as a greasy feeling layer on my skin and face. Weirdly also leaves a slight white cast (which does fade so i guess that helps you know where you put it i guess for even application) Because it just sat as a layer on me it made me very uncomfortable which in turn makes me itchy (not an allergic reaction itch just an i dont like this feeling itch) On my face it just made me look greasy, not a youthful glowy dewy look, nope like full on greasy like a pizza just out the oven grease. Im not keen on that, i dont mind a little shine but my face was practically reflecting the sun (technically thats a plus as that means my face wasnt getting bombarded with uv light) The worst for me was it transferred to everything I touched, my black leather like car seats had white residue all over them after sitting in the car and it was really hard to get off of them. Just beaware when buying this it may not work out for you.

Me ha gustado mucho este protector solar CeraVe. Tiene SPF 50 y protección de amplio espectro, además de una textura ligera que no se siente demasiado grasosa. Es una buena opción para usar a diario y, al ser mineral, me parece especialmente interesante para piel sensible. También me gusta que contenga ceramidas, ya que ayuda a mantener la piel hidratada mientras la protege del sol. El envase de 5 fl oz (150 ml) tiene una buena cantidad para usar en el cuerpo. En general, es un protector solar práctico, hidratante y con buena protección. Lo volvería a comprar. ☀️

I love this product as i have sensitive skin and eczema. It has little white cast but its manageable if applied carefully with HA serum and moisturizer. Will definitely buy again.

Not good product

Original product. Love the quality and the protection with the finish it gives to my face. I have sensitive and dry skin. It doesn’t feel heavy or clog my facial pores. Very light weight formula with a minimal sheen on the face. Happy with the purchase ❤️

The sunscreen is not as stated,it leaves heavy white cast,when applied i felt sweat even more and doesn't easily go off ur skin during shower also. Did not like this sunscreen and do not recommend,there are far more reasonable priced better sunscreens than this.
