Suggested by my physical therapist as they have exact on the their office. Works great to help release thos occipital areas. My son and I have really bad necks from accidents, separate and not our fault, and we use these daily.

It is best if you use it on a hard surface. It works for me but not my husband. He doesn't have neck pain like I do though.

It does take getting used to placement and what feels like plastic teeth but this little baby allowed me to look left , right and about up about as far as it could go- starting from not at all to more and more over a 3-5 minute span of time and reduced my killer headache to just a little ache. With continued use it really felt relaxing to get rid of the pain- a winner in my book!

Its unique designs has helped provide targeted relief at the base of my neck. Although I am not a physician I would recommend for those who seek relief from tension or pressure in this area.

What I bought this for:I purchased this occipital release tool hoping to relieve neck tension, improve spinal alignment, and help with TMJ-related discomfort. I used it as directed, lying back on it for a few minutes at a time.First impressions:The product is well-made, and I appreciated that it’s FSA/HSA eligible. The design seemed promising — simple, supportive, and targeted.Performance & Experience:The first session actually felt pretty good — I noticed some tension relief in my neck and shoulders. But by day two or three, it started to feel too hard and uncomfortable, and the pressure points didn’t hit the same. Instead of relief, I felt more soreness after using it. I gave it a few more tries but ended up having to return it.Pros:• High-quality material• May work well for certain body types or tension spots• Eligible for FSA/HSA useCons:• Too firm for me — became painful• Relief didn’t last beyond the first use• Not adjustable or flexible for different neck shapesWould I recommend it?It didn’t work for me, but it might work for others with different neck tension patterns. Definitely try it on a soft surface and don’t overuse it. Buy this. I have tried shiatsu massage gadgets, cups, acupuncture, chiropractic, massage, the neck pillow stretcher, over the door neck stretcher, inversion table, electro shock sticker things, ice pack pillow, hot packs, bamboo neck thing, foam roller, chirp, massage gun, neck roller ball, neck pillow, bamboo pillow, new mattress, etc. I have so far purchased probably close to 50 devices.. this is what I have been needing... I have pain constantly base of my skull where the skull meets spine and just behind my ears. It causes headache so much so I can't Function I have to lay down. Straining in my eyes and my shoulders get tense. This device is a game changer instant relief. I heard it breaking away at my head crunchy sounding and blood flow warm and flowing freely. buy this and thank you.Update: I still love this this my headaches come and go now. But I found a trick that helps that I want to share. Lay your neck on it and cross your arms over your forehead. Don't push your forehead. Just have the weight of your arms fall on your forehead so it can get deeper. I honestly felt like my spine aligned better and it released whatever was pinched. It still sounds crunchy too. I duno if that's a good thing but it feels better.
