I bought this based on a positive review from Consumer Reports. Overall, it’s a very good water filter pitcher. Pros: - Water tastes great, the filter does an exceptional job. - Easy to install the filter. Pretty much pop it in and you’re ready to go - Fast to fill up and the flow when pouring is pretty good (not slow) - Durable. Plastic is strong. - Filter replacement indicator Cons: - Pay attention when attaching the lid the first time, you may think it’s fully locked in, but if not, the filter and contents can spill out. Just double check and you should be ok. - Filter could last longer Overall this is pitcher makes great tasting water and is durable. Recommended.

My daughter-in-law loves it! You don’t have to wait for your water to be filtered. As you pour the water goes thru the filter!

This Brita model is not worth getting. I had purchased 2 of these within a year. The first one I bought here on Amazon and the other one from Walmart. Within 7 months the first one was useless as the stubs on the lid had broken off within 7 months I had ordered a new one at the end of January an already a stub on the lid has broken off. I took a closer look and it is a thin stub of plastic that does not appear to be sturdy. Without both stubs, a good seal on the pitcher is not possible. So I called Brita and they are giving me a replacement, different model. I still see this being sold so I guess they're getting rid of what ever stock they have. My advice............don't get this model.

This pitcher arrived damaged, due to very poor packaging. My second pitcher (from a source not Amazon) arrived in usable condition. The amount of water this pitcher holds is a nice capacity, we only refill it once a day. The pour rate is slow, as the water flows through the filter as you pour. However, the entire pitcher system does a very good job of making our well water taste good. overall, I would recommend this pitcher.

I really like this pitcher. I feel like I can tell a difference in the taste of the water - no chemical after taste . One thing for certain - I noticed that many of my clay flower pots began developing mineral deposits on the pots. I researched and learned this is usually caused by mineral deposits in the water supply. So I thought I would do my own experiment - I started with new pots and used my usual potting soil mix. I have watered using only water from the Brita pitcher and am not seeing he white buildup on the pots - keep your fingers crossed - I am coming up on my two month anniversary of doing this So far so good!

The hinge for the fill lid broke the first time I opened it.

I don't like the taste of the water at our little country place, and this definitely improves it. I like the fact that it filters the water as you use it rather than filters it first. The difference only matters if you don't use the water for a long time, but that is the case when you don't live in one place all of the time. I love the design of it and the filters are easy to change once you learn from doing it the first time. They also last a fair amount of time, but not long enough to make you question their effectiveness.
