Rocktron Hush Noise Reduction Pedal

Completely and totally worth the money. I purchased an effects pedal for use with an ongoing school video project and it was noisy. A Rocktron ground loop isolator really quieted it down but it didn't completely hit the mark. This item was recommended so I tried it even though it was somewhat pricey. It worked exactly as advertised and killed the remaining noise quickly and efficiently without distorting or damaging the voice channel going through it. I now am a believer!

In the guitar world any accomplished player uses the kiss method ( keep it simple stupid). This pedal is excellent with one adjustment for threshold and Roctron quality. RIP DIMEBAG

I was slightly disappointed. When I purchased this item I was expecting this pedal to be phenomenal. I honestly can't tell the difference when using this pedal. There is a very minimal difference. Very disappointed.

I am running Texas Specials through a Blues Jr. via a few simple Boss and Line Six pedals plus a Wah. There has always been the predictable Fender noise that the guy at the board (I play mostly in churches) put a gate on, messing with the tone I shaped. I put this on the end of the line, dialed it up about 25%, and it took care of most of the distraction without noticeably harming the tone. Works well for me at a reasonable price.

I tried this pedal for a day and sent it back. It was no more effective than a regular noise gate. I have the rack mount version now which is much more flexible and effective at controlling noise.

使っているリハーサルスタジオの電源ノイズが酷いこともあり、ストラトではかなり大きな音でノイズが出ていたため、ノイズゲートとともにこのHushを購入しました。 「ノイズゲート」という製品はスレッショルドで設定された一定の音量以下をスイッチを切って消し去るという少々単純な（しかし効果絶大な）70年代からあるエフェクターですが、ギターの減衰音の途中で「ブツッ！」と切れてしまうので、嫌う方も多いです。特にノイズが大きい場合はどうしてもその設定値を上げねばならず、そうなると減衰音ばかりかアタック音までも少し切れてしまうこととなり、少々困った事にもなります。 そこでこのHushの出番です。これはギターの音が出ていない時の音を切るといった単純なものでは無く、ギター音のノイズ成分を取り除くと言う凝った技術が使われています。最初にこれを知ったときはスタジオ用のラックタイプのものでしたが、ギターエフェクターとして使えるコンパクトなものもいつの間にか発売されていたのですね。 ゲートと違って類似的な他社製品はあまり無く、ロックトロン社の技術のほどが伺えるオンリーワンの製品なのでしょう。 実際の使用感は、音色はほとんど変わらずにノイズだけを低減してくれます。しかし完全にノイズが消えるわけでは無く、あくまで「低減」なので注意が必要です。スレッショルドを上げる事によりノイズの低減量が設定できますが、あまり上げすぎるとその周波数帯だけ下がったように感じます。スレッショルド以外に設定するものは無く、ロックトロンのノウハウで、ノイズ周波数帯を認識しているものと想像します。 私はゲートとこれを両方繋いでいますが、ノイズに困っている場合非常に有効なエフェクターです。ただ、少々大き過ぎるのが欠点です。コンパクトなタイプも販売されていますが、そちらの方が高いので安かったこちらを購入しました。満足しています。
