Looks great, works great, and the spray head locks into place
This is a fantastic faucet especially for those like us who have never used a pull down before. Like a lot of people our old faucet was having trouble and after calculating time and cost to repair it we decided it was time to upgrade. We hardly used the old sprayer before it was such a pain to pull out and put back - this is our new toy it's so easy to use! After looking at the different models here are a few reasons we selected this one: - the biggest reason was the MagnaTite lock. We tried one without it and the head was loose and made it look cheap sometimes dangling and not completely attached to the faucet. This looks like one piece until you pull out the spray head - chrome looks great nice and shiny - feels sturdy, well built - while we prefer a more slim/streamlined look this is close and leans more towards a modern style - easy to install. Everything you need is included except plumbers tape. Although you may need tools to take out your old one. - the base, or escutcheon, comes with two shanks so that the entire piece is bolted to the sink through all 3 holes. Other faucets the base is only held down with the faucet - we got ours for under 200 which is a decent price compared to other models we found - running water and spray pressure are decent and not over powering - we don't have a problem with it splashing out One thing to note is it actually looks chubbier than the impression we got from the photos. While we would prefer a more streamlined look this one still looks great in our kitchen and is easy to use. Overall it works great, looks great, price is right and the head locks into place!

Awesome faucet!
I bought this faucet four months ago (04APR15) to replace an older Delta that came with my house. With the exception of three minor details, my wife and I both think it's outstanding. Originally I wanted to replace the previous faucet with an identical model as I found it very satisfactory, but it was discontinued and I didn't have time to rebuild it. After spending hours going through reviews I discovered that kitchen faucet assessments are extremely subjective and overall weren't that helpful - I purchased and installed three other faucets that were cheaper but got good reviews. After installing and trying each of them out, I removed and returned them. Finally, I bit the bullet and purchased this one and have been extremely pleased. Pros: - Very solid construction. The weight of it really surprised me when I took it out of the box. It easily weighs three times what the cheaper faucets weighed. Fit and finish is great. - Very easy and quick to install. Came with good instructions. I took my time and still had it in and running within 30 minutes. - Good positive control with the lever. Took a little getting used to having a lever that moves forward and back, rather than left and right, but had the hang of it within a day or two. - Magnet on the goose-neck maintains a solid connection when the hose is retracted. I could keep going, but it would take forever to list all the things I like about it. Cons: - Expensive. I couldn't believe how much was being charged for kitchen faucets. In Delta's defense, at this quality level all of the other brands' prices were comparable or higher. Wow! Just ... wow! - Finish. The Arctic Stainless looks good, but I wish they had one in brushed nickel. This has a sort of blue-ish hue to it which doesn't really match other stainless fixtures. Having said that, nobody else that's seen it has commented on it, so maybe it's just me. After owning it this long, it doesn't really register anymore anyways. - The optional escutcheon (the long plate that you can install between the sink surface and the faucet itself) lays perfectly flat on my sink. If water splashes up on it, it won't run off. It just sits there on the plate until you wipe it off or it evaporates, which can leave spots. Not critical, just annoying. Additional notes regarding comments I've read in the other reviews: It's too tall. - Yes, it is tall. I was concerned about this before I bought it but it's actually one of the things I like best about it now. My previous faucet was much shorter which I thought I liked until I tried this one. I find hand-washing and rinsing dishes (especially large pots) much easier with the tall neck - I can just shift stuff from one side to the other without having to lift stuff over or around the neck. You can't adjust it to a specific temperature, then turn it off and back on to the same temp without adjusting it again. - Seriously? Personally, I've never seen a faucet that you can do this with. I'm sure one must exist somewhere, just not sure why you'd want it. Not only do I not see much value in it during normal usage, but I also think this would be a serious safety concern, especially if you have small children (or inattentive adults) in your house. I read an awful lot of comments in the 1- and 2-star ratings in regards to water pressure (spray is too strong/weak) and problems adjusting the water temp to the perfect spot. My recommendation to these folks is to check their household water pressure and water-heater settings. Many of their problems I'm pretty sure have nothing to do with the faucet itself. Just sayin'... UPDATE 01/13/2017: Ended up moving and had to leave this beauty behind. For the 2 years I had it, it worked perfectly. I just renovated the countertops and sink in my new home and replaced the old faucet with another Delta Leland. This time I got the plain stainless steel instead of the Arctic Stainless since it was a better match for the rest of the appliances. It's an awesome faucet and I highly recommend it.

Works wonderfully, and it's beautiful too!
I purchased this as part of a small kitchen remodel with a new larger sink, as well as the matching Delta Faucet RP50813AR Leland Soap/lotion dispenser, Arctic Stainless . I've been using it for a few weeks now, and I love it! My biggest concern when buying a new kitchen faucet is whether or not it will have a strong enough spray to get food off the dishes. You can't test this in the store, and end up relying on reviews to find this out. So the most important part of this review is to tell you that this faucet has an excellent strength of spray on both the narrow heavy filling spray and the fine widespread rinsing spray. Both rinse my dishes excellently, even with the water just halfway on. I will say this does have something to do with your water pressure in your home, and I have strong water pressure where I live, so please consider this as well. The magnetized spray head is so helpful and convenient, I am so glad I went with Delta to have this feature. It is easy to switch between the two spray patterns with the button on the spray head. The pattern remains the same until you manually switch it again, meaning it doesn't switch back when you shut the faucet off. I really like the Arctic Stainless color - it is a cooler blue tone that goes well with my white and grey kitchen. I was concerned that the stainless would show lots of fingerprints and spots, similar to a stainless refrigerator. It does show somewhat but I tend to wipe down my faucets every day anyway, so it doesn't seem to be a visible issue to me after all. The handle has a lot more control over both heat and flow rate than I thought it would. Being small and having a smaller arc, I assumed that the control would be less than a handle that swings 180ยฐ. Instead, I have ended up really liking the way I only have to move it a little to have control over both the heat and the flow strength, rather than having to swing it around in a wider arc. Occasionally when I have it on the hot side and I turn it off, since I'm still getting used to the touch, I accidentally push it to the cold side a little and it still trickles. We installed this ourselves, and found it relatively simple. We watched a video available on the Delta website for installing their pull-down handle faucets, which was quite helpful. We did install it on the sink before we dropped the new sink into the counter, which did make it easier than installing underneath the counter. We also chose to install with the faucet handle on the right, but you can position it wherever you'd like as long as you do it before you tighten down the hardware under the sink. So far, I am very pleased with this faucet's functionality and design, and am very glad I chose it.

Pretty good for what you get
This is a pretty good faucet so far. The base and handle are pretty heavy duty. The flow seems to be pretty good with both the stream and spray functions. I really like the magnetic part that keeps the head secure when not manually pulled out. It was relatively easy to install, also. I really like the handle as it is very smooth and feels good in your hand (solid). I marked it down to 4 stars for 2 reasons. 1) The head is plastic. I thought it was metal as one of the answered questions said it was metal. It is not. That was the part that broke on my last faucet, but I haven't had a problem with that part so far on this one. 2) The escutcheon (base plate) and mounting tabs are both plastic also. I broke one of the tabs installing it (oops), but it hasn't seemed to have affected it at all. Some of the reviews insisted that you need 2.5 inches from the faucet to the wall or backsplash. I knew ordering it that I didn't have the required room behind the faucet, but since this faucet neck rotates 360 degrees, I just installed the handle on the left side. Worked like a charm. The instructions that come with it are for several versions of the same basic faucet, so that was a little confusing at times, but nothing a little trial and error didn't solve. So I did have to back up a step or two and redo it. Nothing major though. Pros: stream and spray function are nice neck rotates 360 degrees can install with handle on left or right. magnetically holds the head in place, so the head does not droop handle and base feel solid Cons: Spray head is plastic Escutcheon and mounting tabs are plastic Instructions were a little unclear for certain versions of the same basic faucet.

Easy Install, Looks Great, and Works Well!
I had been looking at this for a while, but just couldn't shell out $163 plus tax. I would go on Amazon to see if there were any price drops and then I noticed a few reviews mentioned Amazon Warehouse. I started checking, but not the greatest results. Last week one popped up for $150 and change from the warehouse. I clicked on it and it said Condition: Used - Very Good - Small cosmetic imperfection on top, front or sides of item. Small cosmetic imperfection on interior of item. Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged. When I added it to my cart there was an additional $$ taken off which I was very pleased with. I knew I was taking a bit of a chance, but when my order arrived there was some slight damage to the box, but the product looked to be in excellent shape. The parts bag had not been opened and there was no water in any of the lines indicating this was new and had never been installed. I couldn't find any imperfections so if any, they couldn't be seen. 12/7/19 Installation: The hardest part wasn't so much the install, but the removal of my old Delta faucet. Fortunately, everything came out much easier than I expected for a unit that had been in there for many years. Installation went very smooth, I had a single hole so I didn't need the wide base, just the trim ring, base ring, and gasket. Make sure you read the directions prior to and during the installation, it makes it that much easier. Also, the instructions say to flush the lines, this is important! Get yourself a bucket, put it under the hose that is farthest up, turn on the water inlet valves, making sure your faucet is off. Make sure the hose is aiming into the bucket as water will shoot out fast. I flushed at least 3 times making sure I did hot and cold water. I was surprised at the amount of dark grit that came out. Do this until you get clear water with no grit, this insures that the nozzles wont' be clogged with debris when you first use your faucet. My old faucet handle was side mounted so it was a no-brainer mounting this on the side too. The installation was so easy, that I was looking for something else to install and realized I was finished! Update: 12/8/19: As I was ready to write this review I decided to re-read through some of the reviews to see if anything in particular stood out. The one thing I noticed was "ZIP TIES!" After reading about the hose disconnecting, I immediately went out to my shop, grabbed a couple of zip ties, and secured the plastic clip in place as a preventative measure. Not sure if it was necessary, but after reading the comments I feel much better knowing that connection is secure, however after reading one comment, just make sure you don't pull hard on the hose to the end, I would imagine that could pull the connection apart. All in all, a great, nice looking faucet. Read the reviews, read the instructions, and you shouldn't have any problems.

Sleek Modern Design with Smooth Functionality
Sleek Modern Design with Smooth Functionality This Roman tub trim has a clean, modern look that instantly elevates the bathroom. The stainless finish has a soft, brushed appearance that hides fingerprints and water spots well, which is a big plus for keeping it looking fresh between cleanings. The square lines and minimalist profile give it a contemporary style that matches well with both modern and transitional spaces. Installation was straightforward, especially since this trim is designed to work with the Delta rough-in valve (sold separately). The hand shower is a nice addition, offering flexibility for rinsing the tub or even cleaning. The diverter works smoothly, and the water flow is strong and even. The handles turn with a solid, well-machined feel, not loose or wobbly. Things to keep in mind: you will need to purchase the rough-in separately, and the square design means it shows alignment errors more easilyโtake your time during install to get it just right. Also, like most Roman tub sets, it requires a wide deck space. Bottom line: A high-quality tub trim with a modern, architectural look and practical hand shower that makes a bathroom upgrade feel polished and functional.

Great faucet. Super easy installation!
Works wonderfully. Easy install with all the parts and tools needed included. As another reviewer said, the hardest part was getting the old one out. It took me under an hour all by myself and I'm a 50+ year old short woman. It looks a little shorter in person than I expected, but it is the correct height. I think it is just a little bigger around than the one I replaced. The faucet works great and while the pull out hose is plastic, the metal one it is replacing is what went bad on my old faucet after 3 years, so the less bulk and easier function, as well as trading up to Delta quality makes it well worth the trade-off. I'm 'not tall' so it was a stretch for me, however the included tool made tightening the brass nut easy - however don't try to use the tool till you get it snugged up hand tight (much easier to spin it up the shaft with your fingers.) I had to get out twice and reposition the faucet on top because wrestling the bracket into place turned it a little. At that point the adjustment was simple. The head switch from straight stream to sprayer is hard plastic and switches back and forth very easily. My old one had a soft rubber cover over the switch and it was very difficult to switch, so I appreciate this one. Water pressure seems as good or better than before. The faucet has an option to limit the range of motion so you only get hot/cold mix and can't scald yourself... but it comes defaulted to regular use and I can't imagine how anyone would want to change that. There are extra bushings enclosed for if you want to adjust the length of the supply lines, however it is recommended that you just loop them. I just pushed them out like big parenthesis to fit my space.

Quality Faucet
We got a free faucet when we upgraded our kitchen countertops to quartz. Four years later, the faucet started leaking at the valve; time to replace. We choose this faucet for several reasons: - the SpotShield Stainless finish - the diamond seal technology which will hopefully last longer then our freebie faucet (we have very hard water) -magnetic docking - easy to clean; our freebie faucet accumulated calcium deposits at the sprayer which had to be scrapped off The faucet was easy to install, and based on comments from a few other reviewers, I installed 2 cable ties around the plastic clip that holds the sprayer connection together (cheap insurance to prevent the connection from coming apart and causing major flooding). I like the magnetic docking feature that ensures that the sprayer is docked. I really like the spray shield technology that power blasts food off dishes with a straight stream of water surrounded by a cone of water that contains any splashing. One of our previous gripes with the freebie faucet was the splashing of water around the sink. Several reviewers had a problem with the control valve being located on the side of the faucet. I have to admit that this takes awhile to get use to. I did not experience any problems with finding the sweet spot regarding water temperature. The valve easily adjusts to the desired temperature. Time will tell on the longevity of the faucet. We got 4 years from our freebie so hope to get 10 years out of this one. Even so, I would consider replacing the mixing valve assembly if available in the future.

This kitchen faucet is gorgeous! It installed very easily. The quality seems very good and functionality is excellent. Only time will determine its durability. But, so far (about a month) it's just right.

A very good choice.
We finally had enough of our replacement pf (PoS!!!) faucet and decided we couldn't get rid of it soon enough. Did some research online and the Delta 9178-AR-DST came back with excellent reviews. The Amazon price was $100 less than HD, which was an order-in anyway so Amazon got the call. Installation was easy as we'd done this just recently with the crappy pf. The Delta has a nice flow rate and the head swivels smoothly. The control handle works well also - just be sure it's parked in the center detente or you may get a drip. All-in-all, a nice looking, good operating excellent value - highly recommended!

Sleek and practical
Very practical, with a magnet inside the tap head that pulls out for extended hosing. So that it retracts with no effort. Love the variable spray options and the easy-to-use handle โ great for my arthritic hands. Little to no effort to keep it clean. My plumber was very impressed with the packing and hardware provided.

Nice design
The install was easy enough. The daily usage proves better than our previous make which was other than Delta. Better design in my opinion. Spray is easy to use.
