Bloodborne #5 Kindle & comiXology

I almost waited until the full second arc of this comic was released as a tradeback. I'm glad I went ahead and got issue 5. I liked the first arc but I think I might like this one more. It starts with that gothic horror vibe that the game begins with, and has a classic journal style that made me think of Dracula or Frankenstein, bringing in that old Victorian horror vibe. This story takes place before the events of the game, as Yharnam is still changing for the worst, and looks into the Healing Church. Interesting look at heirachy within the church, church politics, as well as dealings with the old blood. Very excited to see what comes next.This first issue serves as a buildup for the rest of the story, I'm sure, since there wasn't any action. It was still worth reading, especially for fans of classic gothic horror.

The art style and illustrations are great. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is a Bloodborne fan. My only disappointment is that the novel is very short.

An alternate look into the inner workings of Yharnham. This story introduces new characters and takes a refreshing new direction that, honestly, I was worried about to begin with. However my fears were quickly alleviated and this is a fine instalment into the series.
