Good vinyl electrical tape when color coding is needed
I tend to prefer rubber electrical tape to vinyl but these multi-color tape rolls server a purpose to which they are well suited - marking lines. I live in a 1920s bungalow with a lot of old but still viable cloth insulated copper wiring. I don't know if the insulation was ever different colored but now all the lines are the same shade of dark grey. Once I test and determine the live wires, etc. I use these multi-color tapes (red, black, and white especially) in a band around the ends of the wires to mark the hot and neutral lines, etc. This is not only safer (no forgetting which line was hot and which was neutral) but saves time/effort when going back into a box or fixture to change something. So, for that purpose this works great and I always keep a set in my wiring toolkit. I've also used the yellow and green tape for non-electrical work or work on small projects where color is unimportant. The tape itself has a nice thickness, good adhesion, and can be stretched pretty tight without snapping when making those high tension wraps. Like all vinyl electrical tape it can get a little gooey if you try to remove it later on, but that's just par for the course. Good stuff here.

it's narrow width tape - 1/2"
great for cable labeling and quick repairs. color coding can be really helpful depending on the task. I do prefer the wider stuff for electrical work like wrapping wire nuts. I keep all five rolls on a small chain and T-bar that I made from some old hardware. great way to hang on hooks at the workbench or pegboard. Scotch brand it always dependable.

Good tape for electrical work.
I bought this electrical tape because I was working on some light fixtures that I bought. I purchased 4 fluorescent shop lights from Lowe's and then bought LED replacement bulbs (which came with tombstones) to use instead of regular fluorescent bulbs. In order to switch from fluorescent bulbs to LED, you have to open the fixture and remove the part called a ballast. Basically it is the heavy brick with all the wires running through it that jump starts the fluorescent bulbs. LED bulbs do not need this and are wired directly. I removed the ballast, cutting wires as needed and pulling the ones from the power cord out of the ballast so I didn't have to strip the wires. Took the new tombstones which came with color coded wires and attached them. Then I stuck them all together using appropriate connections with twist on wire caps and this tape. The multiple colors of tape is handy if you want to make it really easy to identify the connections you are making. I used the white for the white wires, the red for the black ones, and the green to bind and hold all the extra length of wire together so that it wouldn't pop out as I was putting the cover to the fixture back on. Tape did exactly what it is supposed to do and I have no complaints at all. One note I would make to those who are not very savvy on measurements, is that this tape is only 1/2" wide. The electrical tape you usually find in stores is 3/4" wide, a little wider and easier to use in some instances. This did not matter to me, and did not in any way hinder me in completing the wiring I was doing, but it may matter to some folks. If that doesn't bother you, and you want electrical tape in multiple easy to identify colors, then buy this nice little kit and rest assured that it will get the job done.

Scotch multi roll colored electrical tape 5pk
Not exactly what I was expecting. Kind of my fault, if I dug deeper in the description I would have found the info. As you can see from the attached photos the tape rolls are very thin width wise, only 1/2" wide. For reference I included a roll of the Super 88 roll I purchased at the same time. I was really expecting smaller rolls in the 5pk roll quantity but the same width as a standard roll of electrical tape. So another words the width of the tape would be the same but the roll had less quantity of length. Which in a part is what was expected but this stuff is like ribbon for wrapping Christmas presents. Maybe a slight exaggeration but in comparison to a standard roll it sure looks/seems like it!

These are far smaller than you're thinking they are...
It's good electrical tape but it reminds me of toilet paper rolls, how they keep getting smaller and smaller over the years. Electrical tape used to be a pretty standard size roll. I thought these were the same but they are VERY skinny rolls and VERY small rolls. So you're not getting much of the actual tape here. Nothing wrong with it beyond that but who ever said, "I wish they'd make these rolls of tape smaller!" Nobody.

Reliable and Durable: 3M 10457NA Electrical Tape Review
After using the 3M 10457NA Electrical Tape for various household and professional electrical tasks, I am compelled to give it a well-deserved 5-star rating for its superior quality and reliability. 3M is a brand synonymous with quality, and this electrical tape is no exception. The tape’s strength and flexibility are immediately noticeable. It adheres well to a variety of surfaces, providing a secure and long-lasting hold. This is essential for electrical tape, as it ensures safety and effectiveness in insulating wires and connections. The tape is easy to work with. It unwinds smoothly from the roll and can be torn by hand, which is convenient when working in tight spaces or when tools aren’t readily available. Despite this ease of tearing, the tape is remarkably durable. It doesn’t split or fray during application, which is a common issue with lower-quality electrical tapes. One of the most critical aspects of electrical tape is its insulating properties, and the 3M 10457NA performs excellently in this regard. It offers good resistance to voltage, heat, weather, and abrasion, making it a versatile choice for both indoor and outdoor applications. This reliability gives me peace of mind, knowing that the electrical work I complete will be safe and enduring. The thickness of the tape is just right, providing enough insulation without being bulky. This makes it easy to wrap even in layers, for added protection, without losing flexibility. In conclusion, the 3M 10457NA Electrical Tape is a product I would highly recommend. Whether for home DIY projects or professional electrical work, its high quality, ease of use, and durability make it a standout choice in the world of electrical tapes.
