Excellent Ceramic Waffle Maker for Homemade Breakfasts
My wife was looking for a waffle maker so we could make fresh waffles at home for our toddler instead of always buying frozen waffles from the store. My specific requirement was a non-stick waffle maker with a ceramic coating, and after looking at several options, I found this Hamilton Beach model. The reviews were good, the design looked nice, and I decided to give it a try. The unit is reasonably sized and very convenient to store. It makes four portions of waffles at a time, which I think is sufficient for one adult. Depending on your family size and how much everyone eats, you may need to make multiple batches. The build quality is excellent for the price. The main body combines stainless steel and plastic, while the waffle plates have a non-stick ceramic coating, which was one of my main reasons for choosing this model. It uses around 550 watts, so it doesn't require a high-power outlet and can easily be used with a standard household outlet. I particularly like the temperature-control knob on the top. It has a very satisfying clicking mechanism that allows you to precisely select the temperature. I made waffles using store-bought waffle flour mixed with egg, butter, vanilla, sugar, and milk to make them softer. To my surprise, the waffles came out excellent—fluffy on the inside with a nice crisp exterior. One thing that impressed me was how evenly both sides cooked. Both waffle sections came out at essentially the same level of doneness and crispiness, so I didn't feel like I needed a waffle maker with a flipping mechanism. I found that using a slightly lower temperature and allowing the waffles to cook for around 6–7 minutes produced the best results. This gave the inside enough time to cook while keeping the outside nicely browned and helping both sides cook evenly. We also baked waffles with fresh fruit such as bananas, strawberries, and blueberries, and it has become a nice option for homemade breakfast. Cleaning is another strong point. After cooking, I can simply wipe the waffle plates with a towel. If needed, I use a soft sponge with soapy water, and cleanup is very easy. I haven't had any issues with food sticking to the ceramic surface. There are other waffle makers on the market with rotating or flipping designs, but based on my experience, I don't think that feature is necessary with this model. The waffles cooked evenly without needing to flip the unit. Overall, I am very impressed with the build quality, ceramic non-stick surface, temperature control, even cooking, compact size, and easy cleanup. For the price and performance, this is an excellent waffle maker for making homemade waffles, especially for a small family. I would definitely recommend it.

⭐ Love the PFAS-Free Ceramic Coating!
One of the biggest reasons I chose this Hamilton Beach waffle maker is its PFAS-free ceramic coating. I really appreciate having a kitchen appliance that aligns with my goal of choosing products made without PFAS whenever I can. The ceramic coating also works incredibly well. The waffles released easily without sticking, and cleanup was quick and simple afterward. Another feature I love is the indicator light—it makes it so easy to know when the waffle maker is preheated and ready to use, so there’s no guessing. It also stores upright, which is a huge plus if you’re trying to save cabinet space. Most importantly, the waffles turned out delicious! They were evenly cooked with a nice crisp outside and a fluffy inside. Overall, I’m really happy with this waffle maker and would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a convenient, easy-to-clean option with a PFAS-free ceramic coating.

Makes good waffles with minimal fuss
There are lots of Belgian style waffle makers available today. This one makes large sized waggles without taking up much counter space. Simply plug in the unit, wait for the green light to come on, then open and add the batter. Close and leave for approximately 6 minutes. The result is a nice thick waffle that’s meal sized. It heats up quickly, so minimal downtime between waffles. The adjustable knob allows you to control the brownness and doneness of the waffles. I just set it after the first waffle and leave it there. Easy to use, with no flipping required. The insides are easy to clean with a simple wipe with a damp towel. The stainless steel top needs little care, other than the occasional wipe down. A great waffle maker that’s barely bigger than the waffles it makes. The only drawback for some might be the short cord. Fine for countertops, it’s likely not long enough to have at the table setting.

I love this waffle iron!
I haven't had a waffle iron since my daughter moved out and took mine with her. When I finally decided to look for a new one, I knew I wanted one that was not Teflon and didn't have forever chemicals in the non-stick coating. My search led me to this one, and I never looked back! This makes THE BEST waffles. Of course, you must have a great recipe, too. And I do. Don't listen to any nay-sayers about this waffle iron. It works great. It's super easy to use. Plug it in, and when the green light comes on, it's ready to use. I set the dial to 75%, or about the 2 o'clock position, and cook my waffle for 4 to 5 minutes. Four minutes will give you a golden waffle and five will give you a darker waffle (see pic). If you open the lid to check on doneness, the green light will go off. That just means the temperature dropped. It will come back on when the temperature goes back up to the chosen setting. The light will NOT tell you when the waffle is ready. Don't wait for the light to go out. Some reviewers have assumed that their waffle iron wasn't working because the light never went out and their waffle burned. Don't do that. If you don't want to use my settings, pick a setting and check frequently for doneness. You'll find what you like and what works for you. There are suggestions in the owner's manual. This waffle iron is also easy to clean. I use avocado oil, butter, or coconut oil on mine, and it only requires a wipe-down with a paper towel after use. There is a trough around the edge that catches any over-flow so no more burnt on batter on the outside. I couldn't be happier with this waffle iron. It makes perfect waffles every time. And making them at home means that I can use organic ingredients, and I don't have to feel guilty about indulging in waffles from time to time. The retail price at the time of this review is only $29.99. I can't believe what a GREAT deal this was. If you're thinking about getting this waffle iron - DO IT! My rating: FIVE STARS!

Throw away the first waffle but keep the rest!
This Belgian Waffle Maker is as advertised. I followed the easy to use directions and when all was said and done the most perfect smelling, looking, and more importantly tasting waffles appeared. It actually has a light to dark setting too, just like a toaster. I also love this waffle maker for its easy clean up and storage not to mention the value to cost! Great price! Great product!

Excellent Waffle Maker – Highly Recommend!
I've been using this waffle maker for over six months, and it has performed flawlessly. It heats up quickly, cooks the waffles evenly, and nothing sticks to the nonstick plates. Cleaning is effortless—just wipe it down after it cools. I've used it regularly, and it still works like new. If you're looking for a reliable, easy-to-use waffle maker, this is an excellent choice.

Great waffle maker. They weren’t as crispy as I wanted,, that was probably the recipe I used, but they were very fluffy and left no crumbs on the iron. I then made 2nds and added my mini chocolate chips and omfg!!

Amazing Waffle maker!!
This is my first waffle maker and I made gluten free waffles using a gluten free flour blend purchased at Costco. Well the waffles turned out amazing and I just love this waffle maker!!! The copper plates are perfection. the waffles turned a nice golden colour and were fluffy with a slight crisp to the outside just the way we love it. The best part was there was not a speck of batter on the waffle maker once I was done making the waffles, it was spotless!! Nothing to wipe out at all but I will run a wet cloth over the plates when it cools down just because ;-)) I had the setting to the highest heat setting and set my stove timer to 6 minutes as that gave the nice golden colour but the waffle maker also has a ready light which did go on but I wasn't paying attention to when it went on so I will need to do that just to see if it is accurate with the 6 minutes.. Timing will depend on the type of batter you use and how well done you like the waffles to be. I highly recommend this waffle maker by Hamilton Beach!!

Funciona bien y buen precio
Me encantó el producto. Los waffles pueden quedar como textura de hotcake o hasta un poco crujiente.

Love it!
Was debating getting a much pricier one, but opted for this as I thought it was safer (copper, not chemy non-stick) and my kids demand I use it every weekend. It’s more than paid for itself now (vs buying frozen waffles) and works great. Easy to clean, nothing sticks… wish I’d bought it sooner!
