AudioQuest NRG-Z3 Power Cable 2M

This power cable replaced my Wireworld Strata PC, which is a very good wire. I had this pc for 4 years and it fed my Wireworld Matrix power block. I heard a small improvement initially and was somewhat disappointed...I need not have worried as after 30 minutes or so the improvements were palpable-bigger soundstage, hearing more stuff, bass deeper and tighter, highs shimmered, mids cleaner. After a week things improved further, a nice, just right warmthaccompanied the music. I am very pleased with this cable and enjoying more of my music.

I watched an A/B test of this with the type of cable against what you typically get with a component, but the test was not on my own system. The test did reveal the cable made everything sound better, I don't know why but more bass and I'd say a noticeable difference throughout the soundstage. When I got it for my own system, yes i did notice a vast improvement. It is in my opinion a worthy upgrade.

This is clearly a great quality product and due to the size of the cable it requires some space as it’s not too flexible! I installed this directly to my Arcam AVR850 and at first I did not hear any difference initially so was disappointed! However I ran the cable for 48hrs with music and moves over Christmas on low to medium level to burn it in and happy to say there is clearly a big improvement in the clarity of the audio being more precise in timing. I have given it 4 stars as I feel it’s a little over priced and didn’t provide the initial performance for an AtoB comparison. Considering another power cable for my subwoofer, but not sure if one of the X or Y cables would be worth considering for the cost saving? As this would improve on the standard power lead supplied?
