30 Large Eye Stitching Needles - 3 Sizes - Big Eye Hand Sewing Needles in Clear Storage Tube

I needed extra sewing needles and these were a great deal. I didn't read the fine print though, and it's hard to discern size when looking at a picture online. These babies are THICC. For my needs (basting quilts and hand stitching), they are unusable. The wide eye is nice and they are cheap, but they are about as thick as a toothpick. Imagine trying to stick that through a few layers of fabric...

I ordered these needles due to the big eye and size of the needle since I was going to teach a Summer Camp class for kids. I also ordered a large pack of thread skeins I'm a variety of colors. These needles were big enough for children from ages 8-14 to handle them for the first time. These kids had no prior sewing experience and I noticed these were easy to hold and thread. The project I had them do was to make a felt keychain. These were sharp enough to go through two to four layers of felt fabric and could handle the abuse of these kids. Also, none of them broke or bended in any way. These needles are very sturdy and I recommend them

These are unusually thick. While wide eyed indeed which is why I chose these 👀, the tip of the needles seem very blunt/dull/rounded. It's been a long while since I've bought sewing needles so maybe this is the new style??? Thought possibly I ordered wrong, I didn't! These say they're reg. wide eyed sewing needles. Glad I didn't toss my old ones.

I never understood why my mom had me thread her needled for her. Now that I'm old, I totally get it. These needles have big eyes and are sharp!! They probably won't fit through a buttonhole but they sew through felt and fleece wonderfully.

I was a practicum student in a fifth grade class this past fall. I decided to teach a sewing lesson for art. My supervisor was a bit worried about giving every kid their own needle. The price was right that I could afford to. The needles are sharp enough to sew easily with and the eye is large so threading for beginners was a breeze.

They are very big, good for large projects, but not good for micro scale, 1-2 inch long needles

I couldn't find a needle that I could use with my thicker embroidery floss but these work well and I like being able to have several needles threaded with different floss colors ready to switch as I move through the design. These are a good choice.
