Sand Cake Kindle Edition

I had this book as a child and wanted a copy for my kids. It is about a bear family that goes to the beach. The baby bear says he wants to make a cake. The father shows him how using his imagination (drawing ingredients in the sand and adding them to a bucket). They "bake" the cake in a pretend oven and baby bear "eats" it by drawing a picture of himself around the cake ("See, it is in my tummy!"). Kids like to reinact this story at the beach. Very creative concept.

I love this book. It was a favorite of mine when I was young and now a favorite of my nephew.

I bought 3 of these books for babies around me! I remember this author from 25 years ago reading to my kids. My favorite of Mr. Asch is Sand Cake... I like the bit of a riddle so you have to think about it a little.

My grandchildren love this book. It was their Daddy’s favorite when he was small which makes it extra special!

Imaginative way to bake and eat a cake at the beach. Fun story! Very creative! Good for Baby bear.

Cute story, short bedtime read.

I read this book with my son back in the early 80's, it was a favorite! Being out of print I was so happy to find it here so I could purchase it to read to my two grandchildren. They both love it!

A classic from my childhood which I was able to share with my small niece. We read it several times over the holiday.

This book was ordered new and did not disapoint, it came in perfect condition. This is to replace the one lost when our house was flooded and it is good to have a copy of it again.
