I've been using it so that the micro usb sucks the power from a small power bank, and the usb c delivers. The original flimsy cable transfers 4.5W, and this one can only do 2.0W. Soft, but durable braiding, doesn't have too much "memory" to straighten out as it comes tightly wound in the retail packaging, but with a nice velcro strap as a bonus.
