I really like the grumpy looking Tux, the Linux Penguin...reminds me of me.
This is a small (11 oz) white glazed ceramic mug. It is a straight-sided coffee/tea mug that is about 4 inches tall and approximately 3 inches in diameter. This is one of those standard straight-sided type of blank mugs commonly used for for imprinting custom logos and messages. It has no manufacturing label so I don't know where the mug was made. It was sold by Neurons Not Included and was shipped from their sister shop, the Yellow Bug Boutique in Allen, Texas. It has a nice gloss finish without any significant imperfections such as pits or cracks. The logo/message appears to be printed on under the glaze or was printed on the mug finish and then covered with a second glaze. The outside glaze is smooth with no blemishes and the imprinting is clear with no smudging. The logo and message are printed on only one side of the mug; the other side is blank. It is a right-handed mug in the sense that if you hold it in your right hand the message shows outward and can be read by someone in front of you. The advertising copy states that the mug contains no lead and is dishwasher and microwave safe. I washed it in the dishwasher and heated water in it in the microwave with no problems. The mug handle and lip were fairly cool after being removed from the microwave which indicated the ceramic was well fired and has a low moisture content. Being a small mug, the material is not very thick and is probably more fragile than, say, a heavier stoneware mug. Ok, I'm giving this mug five stars, it is a nice little mug, but I did have some personal quibbles with it. With shipping, it is a bit pricey for a small ceramic mug. I guess if you want your mug to have a "customized" geeky reference on it, you have to make some compromises...and pay the price. It is really smaller than I like...18 to 20 ounces is more my style. Accordingly, you can only put three fingers through the handle. It is comfortable to hold, but I like to put my whole hand through the handle. Also, my first cup of tea left a faint stain ring on the inside of the mug. Normally, this occurs only after many uses. If the glaze really starts to turn color, I will update my review and take away some stars. Anyway, I really like the grumpy looking Tux, the Linux Penguin...reminds me of me. Although, now that I think about it, I am not really sure what the message, "Linux is user friendly. It's just very picky about who its friends are." is implying.

Message is funny and message is visible to your guest -- you already know what it says!
Good quality cup with clever message that makes me laugh even when I'm alone drinking my java. Comfortably holds 10 oz. Bought one for myself and another for a present to a brother-in-law who's a Linux fellow also.

Great Gift for Linux Lovers
Got this as a Christmas gift for Linux loving husband. He LOVES it. It's a little too small for the type of coffee cup he prefers to drink from but I knew that before I bought it. He plans to take it to work and use it as a pen holder. He thought it was hilarious and so very appropriate for Linux users.

I love this mug
I love this mug, I purchased the mouse pad to complement it. It is a great design. I gave it 5 stars but only complete it could be slightly a little thicker it is almost but not quite like fine china. But all in all it is a great cup.

Mug exactly as described.
My husband loved this, not sure if it was supposed to go in the dishwasher but it has been through a few cycles and still looks good.

Bildqualität nicht gut
Die Auflösung des Bildes ist nicht die Beste, die Farbübergänge sind an den Kanten nicht scharf, man kann es aber wenigstens in die Spülmaschine stellen.

VERY POOR QUALITY. THE IMAGE IS VERY LOW RESOLUTION SO IS DISTORTED AND BLURRED. Looks really cheap. Very Unhappy.
The quality is very poor. The mug itself is ok. It is just the generic type that you get when you order mugs for a business etc with your logo on them... This was obviously done the same way and the problem with it is that the image file they sent to the printer was obviously very low quality. The image is almost blurred. I had this same thing happen to me at my work place when I sent away to get our mugs made for work and the PDF file I sent with our logo was too low in resolution. It looked ok on the digital proof but the mugs looked like crap because the image was distorted from the low resolution image could not properly be applied to the mug with clean crisp lines. The same thing applies to this one. The image and text on the mug I received do not look like they do on this posting. I am extremely disappointed and it is too late for me to return it.

... time and the quality of the mug wasn't the best, but it made for a good gift
The design washes off over time and the quality of the mug wasn't the best, but it made for a good gift.
