The heat treating prior to machining eliminates warping that occurs in post heat treatment processes. CNC Machined Billet Hardened, Aerospace Grade, Stainless Steel This is a brand new lightly polished Stainless Steel muzzle brake which will fit FULL SIZE 1911 model pistols and most 1911 clones. Our muzzle brakes can be fitted to .38 and 9mm. Just check you barrel dimensions against our specs. The bushing ID. Is .583" +-.0005". In general, they will fit any 1911 clone pistol that has a barrel OD. between .577"-581". A Full Size or Government Model 1911 has a 5 inch barrel A Commander has a 4.25 inch barrel. For Commander size muzzle brakes see our other listings. DO NOT force the muzzle brake onto you barrel. These may require some minor fitting depending on your barrel and slide combination, but should fit right onto a stock configured gun. I highly encourage you to contact me or visit a gunsmith if you have any issues regarding the fit of the muzzle brake. Only use Standard Ammunition with these muzzle brakes. DO NOT use over pressure rounds ie P+ or P++ These grips DO NOT feature the recessed cut on the back of the right side grip. This cut is now optional, just send a message " Ambi-Cut" with your order number when you make your purchase. To determine if you need this cut, just check your current grips.
