Over the ear does not do it for me. It is too hot. The band across the top of my head is real. I literally have a valley now. Earbuds are the logical solution, but noting really did it for me thus far. Microphone quality suffered. Not anymore. The mic quality here is excellent. It isn't studio quality, but I get good compliments in DayZ or Rust. I use the mic in conjunction with Nvidia Broadcast for noise cancelation. These have decent isolation, but I ham in a noisy environment and no raw mic can drowned out everything around me. The mic is amazing. The sound quality is good. You get decent directional audio, but not what you would get in a good over the ear set up. It is more than I need and I can tell where enemies are coming from along with gun shots. The bass is good, the highs are good, the mids are decent. It all comes down to fit here. If you don't get a good fit, you won't get good sound. I use the largest tips with the smallest wings. I do not need to push the buds in far. They seal outside of my canal. Sound was fairly terrible with no passive cancellation when using the smaller tips and pushing them in the canal. I get absolutely no fatigue and the buds stay in place until I want to remove them. I can do 10 hour sessions no problem. I can't say that everyone will have the same fit as we all have different ears. I highly recommend. Nothing comes close to these at 20-30$. These have spent a lot of time at 19.99 and 29.99.

I thought I was taking a risk with these but they're actually really good, especially for the price. Sound quality is nothing spectacular but perfect for casual gaming, and voice chat sounds great and the microphone actually sounds pretty good. The added ear support bars also make it so they should never fall out. Would definitely recommend as an alternative to headphones if you don't like those

I got tired of bringing out my full-sized over-the-ear headset and this seems to be a good alternative. After a week of using it, it has some flaws, but for $20, it's actually quite good. First, the cord is quite short. It may be fine for mobile use, but inadequate for PC use. It also has the TRRS plug that is popular on mobile but requires an adapter for the PC (which is NOT included!) Fortunately I have one of those adapters onhand (for my older headset) but it was STILL short. An additional 18-24 inch extension plus a PC Y-adapter should really be included, but were not. Second, the volume control is a TINY slider. And it was noticeably heavier as it's on one side. It should be down at the Y-juncture so the weight is distributed evenly, but then I guess it would not be a good place to act as a secondary microphone. Third, the detachable boom microphone is both a blessing and a curse. While it's nice that such an option is offered, it's on the SAME SIDE as the controls, and that weighs down that side EVEN MORE! The whole thing's just unbalanced, and the boom mic only made it worse. The only retention mechanisms are the inner ear "wings" and the silicon earbud that you push into the ear canal. Given the weight on the left side with the boom mic and the control bud, my left side bud keeps falling out of my ear. NOT kidding. They really need some sort of a hook, a clip, or a magnet attachment or something to let us clip it to my shirt so it doesn't "drag down" and threaten to make my earbud fall out of my ear every 15-30 minutes. A tougher "wing" for inside the ear may help, but it wasn't offered. And yes, I used the largest wing available. Doesn't help much. With that said, noise isolation isn't bad, and using it without the boom mic helps a little with the retention. And the sound is decent. I'm not an audiophile so I can't tell you about the mids, lows and highs. I'll just say they work fine while they stayed in my ears. I would probably use a foam tip on the left side (the side with boom and controls) to help with the retention. It's pretty good for its size and simplicity. EDIT: I end up using foam tips on these (you can buy like 10 pairs on Amazon for like $7.00) and that helps with retention too. I no longer use the larger headset for the PC.

I’ve been a gaming headset fanatic my entire gaming career. Big, comfy cushiony ear pads, extending mic to perfectly pick up my breathing. Great right? I literally thought bulky expensive headsets were the best sounds you could get out of a game, the closer to “out of your budget” the better. Could easily drop $100 and still have complaints. Well, a friend of mine astounded me the other day when he said that he played with earbuds. This guy is cracked at every game he plays, and I honestly thought he was just messing with me at first. He told me he was serious and sent a pic. And his earbuds only cost around $30 bucks. They weren’t Turtle Beach, but a different brand. I thought, “How do you hear footsteps, how do you hear direction? HOW DO YOU HEAR ANYTHING COMPARABLE TO A HEADSET??” Well, I just want to tell all you advocates like me for the gigantorb ear muffs that weigh five pounds sitting on your head, You’ve been lied to. I plugged the mic into the Turtle Beach Battle buds, then them into my new controller, and slipped em on up in mah ears. I was instantly converted into an ear buds user. The sound is in-depth, from the bass to the all around game noises. It sounds crystal clear, at the perfect volume. Holy heck was I impressed. Another thing that impressed me was the mic monitoring on these babies. I could hear my own voice alongside the others in my own ears, allowing me to adjust myself according to what I heard. They’re super comfortable, stylish, mic at perfect length. I can’t freaking believe something this good could be $30.00. Yeah. Buy em. Do it. Do it now.

These IEM's (In-Ear Microphones) are pretty good in the sense that their sound quality dang near goes unrivaled (seldom higher-priced brands) and they work with my controller. I play games every day, so I'm practically always wearing these. With that in mind, I've noticed that these ear buds in particular leave the inner flap of my ear raw from extended wear. As somebody who plays anywhere from four to ten plus hours in one sitting, it can get pretty bad. One time, my inner ear flaps went completely raw (on both sides) and I had to stop wearing these completely so my wounds could scab and properly heal. The most painful couple of months (gaming-wise) I've ever experienced. In addition, since I play so often and I spend a large portion of my days with these ear buds in, naturally, my ears produce wax and that makes all the rubber pieces on the buds move around and out of place, resulting in me having to adjust and clean them quite a bit. Other than the inner ear chafing and constantly having to readjust the fitting, the sound is great and the microphone is pretty good too. I wish Turtle Beach would make a different version of these that are more comfortable to wear for long periods of time with the same if not better audio and mic quality. If they ever did, I'd get them no questions as I love IEM's.

The sound and mic are decent. Not particularly high quality but loud and clear. This product fulfills a niche decently. There aren't a lot of things this small that have a mic near the mouth and don't need a battery or USB -- this combination of size, sound, and cabling is what I needed for traveling and taking zoom+discord calls. I might try some mild gaming with them, too. I also regularly use some AirPods Pro which is difficult comparison.. the airpods are *a lot* more technology and cost. But for those who have this as a reference point I'd say these turtle beach buds do better with their mic in competing noise, and this is almost entirely just because you can get it closer to your mouth. Otherwise, they're less comfortable (significantly) but usable. The airpods actually fail me when it comes to pairing them to a PC and trying to have a call around other people or even a mild breeze, their mic is just so poor in that scenario unless I'm quite loud which I don't want to be. So what do I really rate this thing? Listening sound quality: 3.5 / 5 (weighed upwards due to the price point) Speaking sound quality: 3.9 / 5 (surprisingly good for size/price? definitely imperfect) Comfort: 2.5 / 5 (worried about wearing these more than an hour...) Aesthetic: 3.0 /5 (look and feel cheap, extra plastic for a logo, but better than headphones, i guess?) Design: 2.5 (these rely on an attempt to be supported by your ear that is pretty weird, but is probably the only way to support the wire and their size... big compared to airpods, but tiny compared to full headphones) The total for my pair however is a 1/5 because they're absolutely used already. They've covered in dust, the box came with the stickers open and clearly having been reapplied a dozen times, and there's even a dent in the metal mesh that covers one of the speakers. I bought "new." That said I'm getting on a flight shortly with no time to return so I wiped them down and am keeping them.

For a long time, I had been using a head-band style headset for video and conference calls. I prefer a single ear cup so I can hear my own voice with the other ear. Also, I prefer analog (3.5mm plug) rather than USB or wireless as it minimizes audio delay. I was getting tired of how the headband felt on long calls, and the way the headset looked bulky on video. I searched on Amazon and the Turtle Beach Battle Buds looked like a good solution, in fact the only good solution I could find. They come with many different sized ear tips and ear fins, but the default ones were immediately comfortable to me. By the way, you don't need to use the ear fins at all if you don't like them. The first thing I tested were the microphones. The pinhole mic built into the volume control was acceptable but not crisp. Then, I plugged in the boom mic, which is the main feature of these ear buds. It is fantastic! I couldn't ask for anything better for the voice quality: crisp, detailed, natural. The ear bud audio quality for listening to voice is unremarkable in a good way... not boomy, not harsh... just right. I tested on music (which is not how I'll be using these) and it is pleasing with good bass. Conference call audio from Teams, Zoom and others is monoaural by default, so I simply put in the left ear bud and leave the right one out: I get the one-ear config that I like so I can hear my own voice. I've been sitting here with the left ear bud and boom mic for about an hour now and I'm feeling no fatigue. Don't let the gaming branding scare you off for using these for business purposes. The design is classy and subdued, the mic is great, the ear tips are comfortable, and I won't look like Lobot from the Empire Strikes Back on my calls anymore. Thanks Turtle Beach!

I have to admit that these earbuds are noticeably bulkier than perhaps any other set that I've had. The wires are thicker, the mic capsule on the wire is bigger, and the portion that goes to the ears are huge compared to most. I would say that the ear bud section is about 3 times as large as most. It fits in the ear well, but, there is another section that other buds don't have attached to it. I suppose this is what makes better sound possible. Look at the pictures first to see what I'm talking about. That said, this is probably the best sound quality of any that I've tried. I'm talking about for calls ...outgoing (feedback from people with whom I talk), and incoming sound. I'm not even talking about the plug in boom mic. That is good also, and the reason that I originally purchased these. Both mic options are only for the left earbud which cannot be switched to the right ear, unless it is flipped upside down. For most people this would probably not be a problem, but I like to drive with the window down, so it can pick up some wind noise. They are better than most for music in this price range, but not as good as ear monitors. I am very happy with these, and would buy again.

I never liked bulky headphones but I needed a mic, these were perfect for gaming on my ps5, simply connect it to your controller and it works wonders! And also at least I won’t get a head dent.. lol, working great after 3 months now! Love it!

Très bien. Léger. Je m’en sers pour écouter les webinars et y participer, bien sûr. Je suis bien contente d’avoir trouvé un système de casque permettant de ne pas se sentir enfermé car trop lourd et imposant et efficace pour entendre les échanges sans forcer le volume.
