I was impressed with scientific methodology on which the product is based. The designer of this product is not a medical scientist or pharmacologist. However, he does have a doctorate in theoretical physics which implies very high intelligence and a very high level of scientific literacy. The theory of the supplement's nutritional efficacy is this: Ultimate Protector triggers both exogenous and endogenous antioxidants, in effect optimizing the human body's complex anti-oxidant systems. The main ingredients have been proven to be NRF2 activators. This is a recently discovered master gene regulator that controls as many as 600 genes in the human genome. The NRF2 molecule activates the antioxidant response element (ARE) in the cells nucleus triggering a cascade of reactions within the cell that induces the production of the human body's most powerful protective anti-oxidants. The increased levels of superoxide dismutase, glutathione and catalase, result in the repair and rejuvenation of the body's cells. At least this is my understanding of the pharmacology of the product. In conclusion, I think this product does in fact work and is worth paying for.
Review: A Name Very Well Deserved!! - Ultimate Protector is the best and most comprehensive antioxidant that I have ever tried in decades of using natural supplements of many different brands. Personally, that gives me the experience to say that, as far as those I've personally tried, 60% of supplements don't do much, 30% are pretty good and the remaining 10% are amazing. This particular product is right up there in that 10% category. It has improved my health in many different aspects and I look forward to taking it, 2 capsules with each meal for a total of 6 a day. Those 6 capsules are the usual recommended dose but you may find that you will need less if you are already in pretty good health. If you are in bad health, you will need those 6 capsules or many more, depending on your situation. Remember to start low and then add more capsules slowly as time goes on to give your body time to adapt. Even good stuff can hurt you if you add too much too soon. For even better health improvements, I suggest adding Symbiotics Colostrum Plus (for sale here in desertcart) with your meals as well. Again, adjust your dosage as needed for your personal situation. Together, these two products are great!

**Q: Whst are the fillers in productc**
A: Technically the only "filler" is microcrystalline cellulose, a plant-based substance. There is about 0.1% by weight of the product (Ultimate Protector+). While that is the only filler, the product contains silicon dioxide (an inert substance) as a drying agent and flow agent at about 0.7% by weight, and ascorbyl palmitate (a fat-soluble form of vitamin C) which is also a flow agent at about 0.5% by weight. These figures are very small, and are necessary to enable encapsulation of the ingredients.

**Q: Does this contain corn?**
A: No, Ultimate Protector+ does not contain any corn.

**Q: Supplemental calcium tends to end up in soft tissue, arteries, organs, brain... how do you justify including it?**
A: The US daily value (DV) for calcium is 1300 mg. We include just 60 mg which is a mere 5% of daily value. Secondly, magnesium is required in order to assimilate calcium. Without magnesium, calcium can build up in soft tissues, flood cells, etc., which is one reason calcium must be balanced with magnesium. We include 60 mg of magnesium (14% daily value) which balances the calcium and helps ensure its uptake and assimilation. In addition, we use the malate forms of these minerals (i.e., calcium malate and magnesium malate) which feed the energy (ATP) production cycle (Krebs cycle) in the body. Finally, it is important to remember that calcium is an important mineral for health. It is only when there are mineral imbalances that do not allow the body to properly uptake and utilize calcium that it becomes a problem. Ultimate Protector+ (like all HPDI formulas)  is carefully formulated for mineral balance which supports optimal absorption of nutrients for good health.

**Q: What is the Orac Value of only one serving (2 veggie capsules)?**
A: The ORAC6.0 value for 6 veggie capsules (one daily serving) is 968,000 micro moles TE. So for 2 capsules  the ORAC6.0 value is 323,000 micro moles TE.
