Finding Freedom to Create: A Painter's Roadmap

Dianne Mize is a master at teaching. This book has filled in so many missing pieces in my understanding about painting, drawing and the nature of creativity. I will use it as a resource and reference to enhance my craft and as an inspiration to get in touch with my authenticity as an artist.

Simply put, I love the book and I love the author. It is a great companion piece to the many YouTube helpful tips that Diane Mize posts. I would recommend this book in conjunction with some of her educational DVDs available also on Amazon. She is absolutely wonderful.

I once read that the definition of art is "everything in it's right place"....and this author has shared deeply and intimately her knowledge and her journey with finding her right place with this glorious thing called Art. It is a beautifully written book.

Not just a how-to book, she covers areas on the creative process that go deeper.

An excellent book for beginning or established artists. Written by an artist/teacher, it will assist you to become better at your art, even if you are already well along in the art world.

Dianne Mize is an extremely wise teacher. Her lessons are based on many years of teaching experience, and I find myself referring to this book over and over again! Highly recommend!

Dianne is not only an incredible teacher she is also a generous and deeply thoughtful one as well as a talented artist.
