Grote 83-6515 Cable Slitter/Stripper

I use this for setting up SOO or SOW cord and it is a big time saver. There is no way I am going to nick my conductors by using a razor. I use this mostly for 14/2 AWG 12/2 AWG but occasionally I will have a three phase cord. Very easy and quick to use.The negative is in the depth adjustment. It will not stay put. If you need to do multiple cords then I would suggest using thin washers (hard to find that fit this) and then tighten the depth adjustment against the washers.Now that I am writing this... I might as well buy some more of these and set the depth for each common cord that I use and engrave it for that specific cord.

Great tool, well constructed and it ripped through some range cable I was installing like butter the price was also really reasonable

seems like it would work, but it doesnt. i have tried to use this on small 1/4" wire all the way up to 1 1/2" 2/4 soow cable does not work at all. it doesnt nick the inner conductor but you still have to use a knife to skin off the jacket, worthless.
