I’ve seen a lot of rv’ers using these. I see why. Great way to purify water at campgrounds

I connected this inline to my water intake from RV park hydrant to pressure regulator to filter to my camper, in that order. Replace filter once a year at beginning of season, remove it at end of season sterilize and winterize water system.

Final update, I've used the filter with the replacement hose. All is good. Second Update: I received replacement hose, and it seems good. I still think they should make these with the same quality they make their drinking water hoses. First update: Within 24 hours, Camco got back to me. (good first step!) Camco offered to replace the hose with a tested one. After I receive this, and test it, I'll update this review (and my rating). Original review: I just received my Camco EVO water filter order from Amazon. The canister assembly seems pretty well designed and made. (Like there hoses). I have assembled it. When I attempted to attach the short connector hose to the canister, I discovered that it is nowhere near the same quality. The male end did not fit tightly, turned easily in the hose, and just pulled right off! (see photo) No wonder reviewers have complained of this leaking. Clearly this hose is NOT of the same quality as the fresh water hoses Camco makes. I've left a message on the support link found by clicking on the Technical Support button on the Amazon order page. I will update this review if Camco gets back to me and makes this right. What would be a more than satisfactory solution would be for them to send me a 4ft Camco water hose which can be found at this amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FD63M3P/ref=twister_B07PJVK52B?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 (They should make the connector hose for this the same way these hoses are made). I'll update this review if I get a satisfactory response from Camco with a day or two. If I don't, I'll be returning this filter to Amazon.

This water filter made the water at the campground taste great. It is easy to hook up and take down. The only problem is the little plastic connectors leak. Since I am constantly connecting and disconnecting the hoses for the unit I added in some metal L pipes onto the plastic adapters but the plastic adapters still leak at the place where they join the water filter. I haven't really tried to make them stop leaking as they are barely leaking but I think it shouldn't be too difficult to do if the filter was permanently installed. My problem is that I am constantly moving from campground to campground so I am always moving the unit. The filter is easy to get to and the unit is easy to drain for transport. I would purchase this unit again.

I bought this for a slightly unusual application -- for which it works brilliantly. Like many households, I have a multi-stage reverse osmosis water filter system under the kitchen sink. Every six months or so I'm supposed to change the filters, and for each of the charcoal filter cartridges I'm supposed to flush them for a few minutes before installing them. But how do you do that? It occurred to me that I could buy a single-cartridge housing and a few fittings, and run a garden hose through each filter to flush it for a few minutes. It's easy to buy the housings, and a little harder to find the right fittings, but when you add up the cost of the cheapest parts available it totals about the same cost as buying this kit. So I bought this kit. I was pleased to find that all the fittings are of high quality. For example, the core parts of the hose adapters are solid metal, rather than plastic. As you can see from the attached photo, pre-installation filter-flushing is now easy.

I put this filter together (it comes with the in and out side fittings to put into the plastic top) using the plumbers tape that is supplied. Much to my surprise those fittings didn't leak at all. What did leak, and can't apparently be stopped, is the seal between the black top and the blue body. It gushes like a head wound no matter what I try. This product is pretty much un-usable out of the box, and for the life of me I can't figure out why they don't have a 2nd o-ring seal on this joint. I have to send this back now and try to get a replacement, however since it's been 'used' and assembled, from previous reviews it seems that might be some kind of a problem for the return. Very disappointed in this filter right now. I was really looking forward to going down to the smaller micron filter, but I'm back to the blue barrel-tube style filters for now. Update: I bought another one of these from a local walmart and had the same issue - no o-ring gasket between the blue body and black screw on top. I went back in the store and asked the manager if I could inspect the boxes of another one or two and he let me... apparently some come with it and others don't. That's clearly a QA issue. In addition to that o-ring, they were ALL also missing a second o-ring that should fit inside of the female hose connection end. I tried a handful of others - camco products even - and couldn't find one to fit securely inside. This thing remains useless.

Works as intended.

Purchased the Camco Premium water filter after a visit to a campground with bad water. This filters down to 5 microns. Best you can get. Be careful tightening the fittings as they are metal fittings into a plastic housing. I started hand tight and then wrench tightened enough to stop leaking. Amazon ill-pairs this filter with filter holder Camco 40772. The holder is to big for the filter. the filter rest on the fittings/hoses instead of the filter body. Fortunately the filter comes with a wrench to remove the body from the head. Just put the wrench on the filter body and set it in the stand Works well if the ground is not to rocky. After a couple of uses I tried to get the head off to drain the water out but it is super tight. Even pushing the pressure relief button does not help. I will try a vice at the end of the season, don't want to break it now.

Easy to use, a works perfect, filters my brewing water perfect. replacement filters easy to find

Item works good but is hard to keep the hoses from leaking at the fittings.

Amazing difference in the taste of water in my RV. Easy to install and leaves no sediment in the in the sinks . Very impressed.
