Great book with a variety of techniques
As a designer, crafter and mom, I love this book. It introduces many different techniques - printing/stamping, stitching, etc. -- in the context of famous artists and designers. The projects are accessible for kids (maybe age 8-12 or so) to do without a lot of supervision, and actually create some pretty cool-looking and useful objects.

Great art book for kids (and adults)!
We bought this book as a gift for a 9 year old boy. He is so into origami and art & craft, so we thought this is a perfect birthday gift for him.He lovesss this book. I, myself, am as designer also love this book. It teaches kids and adults to appreciate art even more and to do more creativity stuff using everyday stuff.

Great ideas
Bought this book for an "adopt" a child for my classroom. As a class, we searched for a book that would be great for an eight year old girl. This book did not disappoint. Great craft ideas that are fairly inexpensive to buy. Creativity abound in the book.

Great ideas!
This book is great for some crafty, smart ideas that are based on real artists' work. I am an art teacher and I will use some ideas to create my own lessons

Good.
A lot of the projects can get a little complicated for kids, but it's fun to look through and get inspired. I like how he includes information about artists along with the projects.

Great coffee table book
I was excited to receive this book because I love midcentury modern decor. The book itself is very fashionable with great pictures. However, I think for most people this book is not a realistic craft book and I am an avid crafter. There are not many projects that are kid and budget friendly. A lot of the projects are very time consuming with tons of prep work needed by an adult before starting a project. I can bet your kid will lose interest in about 30 mins into the project due to its complexity. There are some complicated sewing project and how to decoupage furniture. Unless you have an old table that you don't care about, I doubt you're going to buy a table just to decoupage as a craft project. My recommendation is to check out this book from the library or to thumb through the book at a book store before making the decision to buy.
