Shurtape DF-545/NAT225 DF-545 Double Coated Cloth Carpet Tape: 2" x 75 ft., Natural

I got this a few months ago to hold down carpet stair treads on my wooden entryway stairs, and the adhesive is holding well. The challenge is that the tape is so sticky (a good thing) but hard to cut even with sharp scissors (not a good thing), so that I ended up wasting some tape just trying to cut it (it would get stuck to itself) to the right length. And once you do get it cut, it can be a little difficult to get the plastic backing off.And while it's sticky and holding the stair treads in place well, I'm slightly nervous about how it's going to be whenever I move out of my rental apartment and need to remove the stair treads. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the tape doesn't ruin the finish on the wood.

I love this product and I used it several times. I'm a teacher and my school is a historic building so we can't put staples in the walls. This tape holds up really good.However, this was a bad batch that I received. For starters, the tape is ripping on the side like a piece of string. (Similar to the way that carpet rips when you pull the string.) This tape is super thin and extra hard to peel the blue plastic off once you stick it on. I am very disappointed with this order and usually I'm very pleased by this product.

I've been looking for a great holding double back tape to replace one I used for years...it was black and had thin stands that are still holding 10 yrs later! This is a great replacement...easy to cut, doesn't get gummy with time..

I had used the big rug pads for a long time but inevitably, they would always move, or slip up at some point. It just never felt very secured to the floor. I have a big carpet in my living room, and this tape dos wonders. I put one side of the tape along all the borders, then an x shape with the tape on both halves of the interior. Then I took the double side off, and stuck it to the floor. My carpet never moves anymore!! I had to lift up to adjust a fold in the carpet a week later, and no sticky residue either. This is the way to make carpets stick folks!

Works great for holding down a red carpet, and is nice and easy to pull up afterwards! (Tip: stay far far away from the Heavy-Duty stuff at Home Depot... I'll only ever use this Shurtape for taping carpet from now on, that was one of the least pleasant experiences working an event, ever...)

I own a flooring installation business and use tape like this a lot. I got to my job site which was in the middle of nowhere only to discover these rolls were only 25ft not 75ft! Had no choice but to use them so I couldn’t return them for my money back.

I hung two huge tapestry to painted brick walls and so far so good. No slipping or falling.
