A must need book for traveling Pan am highway

this book was really helpful to us as we journied through the countries. they laid out how to get you car from country to country in detail and even pictures of that the paper work looked like. this helped us get in and out much faster. after we crossed over from Panama to columbia, the book was not as helpful because we took a differant rout as they did. but i really recomend this book to anyone traveling though the continent.

This is a very rare book for those who are truly willing to take a different road. It contains detailed information on driving to and camping in Mexico, Central and South America. I contains detailed information on most countries with great descriptions of where and how to cross the borders. I am planning a drive to Honduras in the next year or so and this is the single best resource I have found yet. I would give it 6 stars if I could.

Very extensive travel guide with a lot of hints and links to web content. For being extensive sometimes it is basic. Even so, it's a good starting point to a road the Americas.

Found the information useful and practical. We have traveled in remote areas and enjoy going on our own schedule. The useful tips for border crossings will be most helpful and ideas for camping will be appreciated for our trip this winter.

A nice overview of driving through the Americas. A bit light on technical details in some cases, but good coverage and basics are there.

A useful read but quite high level. Worth it if you're preparing for a trip but not one I'll be taking on my trip

Good for info on getting across borders, paperwork needed and a list of camping spots. It doesn't have a lot on tourist places but that isn't the purpose of this book
