English verb tenses- a backbone of the grammar are missing in this book. Thinking of returning it.

This is a good book; it includes practice questions and answers at the back.However, it sometimes lacks certain explanations that you may have to look up. For example, Unit 1 is about nouns. In the explanations it mentions how to use the subject, direct and indirect objects, and the predicate, but never explains what any of these are or how to identify them. But this doesn’t mean it doesn’t explain the meaning of anything.It’s an overall good book that has a little room for improvement.If you’re a teacher looking for a book to use for students it’s a good guideline.

This book is useless for any esl teacher. All of the exercises in the book are of no use to esl students. apart from which the book is very limited in the grammar practice . Dont waste your money , everything in the book can be found online with better explanations and examples.
