my old prop didn't look bad, sure it had a little burring and wear from getting into the shallows, but it was mostly there. It would still plane out quick and run about 40 (indicated) across the lake.Figured I would replace it just to see what difference a new prop would make. Lets just say it's like I have a whole new boat. Great hole shot, planes out faster without much trim adjust. Best part is that now when winding out across the lake my top speed is 45 (indicated and GPS). So that little bit of burring and wear actually was making more of a difference than I thought.

I smash props all the time because im stupid but turning point makes it affordable. I have gone through 4 turning point props over the years and have never had a problem with them that i didnt cause. You will have to buy a hub to adapt to your drive but it fits perfectly and can be transferred to any other turning point prop you buy. Visit their web site and use their wicked helpful prop wizard to find the right pitch for your needs. Dont ask on here what prop you need for your boat and get advise from idiots, go to the website and use the tool. Dont run a bent dinged up prop and smoke your drive, these are much cheaper than a lower unit.

It works just fine. But my prop has a defect that I found upon recieving. The leading edge of one blade is deformed and months later is cavitating/etching the blade. I asked turning point to take care of it. They wanted the prop sent back and evaluated. And what, my boat has no prop for a week or three? I sent them detailed pics too. Sorry. Can’t have my boat down while they evaluate my prop.

Haven't noticed any differences in speed or r.p.m. from the factory prop it replaced. The one I bought has identical specs to my aluminum oem one that was a much older integrated hub design. Used on a '81 50 h.p. Johnson 2 stroke.Very happy that is did not change rpm's. Some reviews claim the prop was more aggressive which isn't what I want, since my motor was right in the money spot for its power band and my boat with the original prop.

Bought this to replace my 1 year old H1-1013 prop, just to get a bit more RPM out of my motor. This is mostly a review of the series... these props are great. My 1 year old H1-1013 offered much better bite than the stock 13" pitch prop that came with my 2102 50HP Tohatsu TLDI. I get much reduced ventilation, and can trim out much farther while the prop maintains bite. the drop to the H1-1012 is even better, same performance and gets me to the top of my motor's RPM range with a faster hole shot. They hold up fairly well; the main obstacle where I boat is kelp, and the paint on the 1013 after a year shows some wear on the leading edge of the blades, but nothing terrible. If you boat in mostly clean water, you can't go wrong with these.I reused my hub kit, and it was tough to get out. I had to use a 20lb dumbell and a spark plug socket to drive the old hub out. I'd suggest carrying a spare hub as well as a spare prop on the water.

I bought this for a 1996 Bayliner 1950 Capri with a 3.0L Mercruiser. Would have given this 5 stars, but I had to grind away part of the steering trim fin on the outdrive before installing. The blades are mounted farther to the rear than the stock Merc props. I've heard that Turning Point props are designed this way for better efficiency. I run my boat at Lake Powell in Utah which is over 3,600 ft elevation. This prop will take me to over 30mph at WOT (measured on GPS), and at 3,500RPM it cruises at 20-22mph and gets 4+ miles per gallon. Not bad with over 600 pounds worth of people & gear on this 18-1/2 ft boat with full bimini top up. Costs a lot less than the Merc prop too. Suites me fine and I sure liked the Amazon Prime free 2-day shipping.

These props are very soft and get smashed up quick if you're a moron like myself. Luckily for my pocket book a few of these a year is no big deal - it is a boat afterall, if you're not paying out the @ss, you're doing it wrong.

I was initially under the impression that the part number I was ordering was a 4-blade prop, but it was indeed a 3-blade. Not a big deal. I installed it and went about my business. I had to tap the hub into the prop a little harder than I was anticipating to get it to fully seat, but it went together nicely and performed well on our first trip out. I’d also recommend the Panther Skeg Guard if your skeg is best up and you’re tired of looking at it.

Works fine, shipping was reasonable fast but nothing to brag about. Same as Turningpoint saying they are the fastest prop on the water. Good product but dont expect any huge gains.
