Electrical Box Spacers Double Gang 1/2 inch 5 pack

A simple, well executed answer to electrical box extensions. They readily take #6 screws and are easily drilled out for #8. I use #8 pan head screws available at most hardware providers. The devices fit snugly and you may need to wire first and then slip the extender frame over the device. Frames are easily combined for various depth needs. Work smart, turn off the circuit. I did not know this item existed. Was looking for a 1 1/2" extension ring and they were not easy to find recently. The outlets had 1" extensions already in place and I needed just 1/2" more due to a wall cover. Found these on my search and what a great and easy solution!!! I will be keeping these in mind for the future. Good item, sturdy and worth the money in time alone.

You get 6 of these for the price so good value for well made product but you will need to disconnect the receptacles in order to install. Not an easy installation process!!

My electrician said these would not fit my application.BE. CAREFUL!The seller wants to charge more than double the purchase price for postage return. Further, since I ordered 3 different sizes, that were shipped in the same box, I would have to pay TRIPLE postage.

These worked great to bring out my electrical boxes on a brick veneer wall I updated.

I had a couple of switch plates in my house that always looked bent in for some reason. When I took the plates off I realized that the outlet boxes had been set back to the stud and not the drywall. This is the easiest way to fix the problem, you may want to get a couple of longer #6 machine screws to make up for the spacer. Also if you are trying to get the screw heads to be the color of the plate appliance touch up paint seems to work well.
