D5300 Digital SLR Camera Dual Lens Kit

OK, we are new to the land of DSLR's and I seriously spent 4 hours researching them and the difference between full frame and non full frame. For our use and the price I was confident the Nikon D5300 (non full frame) would be perfect for what we wanted. Almost went with Cannon but the features on the D5300 swayed me. HOWEVER, I made one mistake, I paid extra to receive the AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED Lens which is MUCH different from a AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G VR Lens. VR stand for Vibration Reduction. The ED 70-300 lens that comes in this bundle is not a VR and you will quickly realize you would never willingly buy a NON VR lens for this camera. Now the other lens that comes with the camera is a VR: AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR Lens, which is excellent and what you want. So, even though I love my camera and we are having a blast and getting lots of exercise looking for the perfect gator and bird shots, I feel a bit deceived and like the seller took advantage of my lack of knowledge. If I were to do it over again, I would buy the camera with the 18-55mm lens and buy the 70-300 VR lens separate, which is the lens I need to buy now that I know better.

I searched back a model year and found this Nikon D5300 at a great price. It is missing some WIFI or other features the newer model has, but I don't plan on using those features. I just want to point and shoot. It takes a while to upgrade from a bridge camera to a SLR, but it is worth the learning curve. Adding a speedlight flash is one major consideration. The settings are basically easy to figure out. The ability to change lenses is a major consideration. Battery life is better than advertised. Over 300 pictures and the battery still has 75%. Somewhat light weight. The auto focus has a variety of settings and is easy to figure out and use to quickly adjust to light conditions. Picture quality is great. A good choice to get into SLR. Good after market lens choices. I'm still trying to figure out all the custom settings, but I've found online videos that explain just about everything.

Soooooo, besides the nightmare of getting my package, let's talk about how infuriating this is. Not only is this not the camera I ordered, and not a double lens kit like i ordered, it also came with a battery that will not charge, and all asian language presets with absolutely no instruction manual to be able to help with this issue. I might as well have set 700 dollars on fire, it would be more useful than this pile of useless plastic and glass I have now

Good entry level camera. The kit lens is ok to walk around with. I would recommend the telephoto be used while the camera is on a tripod though. I have used this camera body with Nikon 24-120mm f4, sigma 150-600mm, and others. If your not getting the results you are looking for, try upgrading your lens from the ones included in this kit. This camera body is capable of getting surprisingly good photos.

The features on the camera are easy to navigate and it produces great pictures even on the auto setting. Purchased the kit no. I'm a reporter so I use this camera a lot. It was an excellent purchase. My co-workers have been trying to steal it since they saw the first shots in print from it. This takes amazing pictures and for basic use the two lenses that come with it are all you need. It does work well with my older Nikon lenses that require manual focus.

My Nikon D5300 came in fine, but did not have a user's manual. Can one be sent to me?

Definitely worthy camera for beginners. 39 focus points is a game changer that locks and captures details properly. This model is worthy for videography too ! For short films and vlogs. Give the right lighting for this camera and see his banger results ✌️🔥

Awesome camera ..it is still in demand even if it has been more than 2 years since this camera was lunched .You can click very good quality images with this. If you want to take your images to next level post process images with Lightroom or any other good software. Use 35mm prime lens with it for better photos.Both lenses in the box will not be having the lens hood or lens cover. Camera bag is from Nikon which is big enough to carry 3 lenses and a body.Buy a tripod for having more fun with taking your photos/nice low light photos during solo photography trips.battery is good which can take around 500 photos easily.

If somebody want to purchase it to shoot the video then there is an issue in it. It makes video continuously for 20 minutes. If you want to make a video longer than 20 minutes then you need to start again and again. This is very draw back of this camera. Actually I purchased it specially for making videos for YouTube but its video shooting limit is big drawback. Although camera is nice. I purchased in pre-Diwali period on 12th October, 2018. So I got some offer on SBI Debit Card (Max Rs. 2000 relaxation). I purchased it only for Rs. 38990. Camera is genuine and of good quality. I got 16 GB Memory Card, one Camera Bag, 1 lady bag, 2 lens(18-55 and 70-300mm). Don't go for higher ISO Camera because High ISO video or images becomes useless. If you can afford then purchase with lens cover, monopod/tripod, extra battery and memory card because these are important accessories when you do photography.

Thankfully I've received the product in perfect condition which I feared initially. Thanks a lot to Amazon for that. Bought it at a price of 40,990 so lucky enough for the discount. Now considering the product... This is one of the best entry level DSLR cameras and I've been wanting to buy this for a few years now. Happy that I finally did. Since I'm a beginner this product is perfect for someone like me. Photos will depend mainly on the framing, angle and post processing of the one who clicks the photos and that depends on the creative talent of the person not the camera. If someone have those insights then a DSLR will always produce great photos.
