I've used these for ages, look here for advice
For this product to work you can't put it at the window. It should be out in the middle of the room where the flies tend to go in circles. Be VERY slow when unfurling it as it can tear or come out of the base and then you'll either have to put a big paper clip at the bottom or something you're willing to throw away. Additionally, for the stickiness in your hands what you have to do is after you put the product up, rub oil on your hands vigorously. Then wash that off with dish soap and bang! No sticky fingers. To collect it you should pick it up like dog poo, if you just try to throw it in the trash as it is, it will stick everywhere and it will be extra disgusting to pick it back up lol. Only qualm I have is that it doesn't work on the big fat flies. Apparently they're not smart enough to figure out a window but they are crafty enough to not fly near this thing, go figure. Thankfully since they like to sit on the window glass, my dog can get them and show me the body to hide the evidence hehe

Fly papers
Very flimsy, you get what you pay for, another cheap Chinese item.

its great to catch pretty much everything in your postcode.
doesnt smell, works well, maybe too well? it will catch flies, bugs, your hand and anything else that goes within a 10foot radius of it. pretty strong thing too. easy to use, but some might not unwind correctly.

Not very good.
These are VERY hit and miss. Flies land on them and only a few stay stuck. If they land on them with their feet they tend to get free it's only if their wings touch the strip that they stick. The strip it's self can but quite fiddly to unwind but once you figure it out you'll be fine just have to do it slowly , they come with a thumb tack attached to the top so you can pin it up. They're about the average size for fly strips but these are probably the least effective ones I've used. think the most I've caught on a strip is 2 flies and a moth , it's summer there are a lot of flies around so I'd expect way more on them than that.

Works Correctly
Old-fashioned, but they work great at a good price. Proper placement is essential.
