Helps a child develop appropriate and more comfortable holding and drawing skills
These are very good for a child to help him or her hold a pen or pencil more comfortable and instill initial appropriate holding skills. It helps my child write better and helps me help him hold his pencil better. My child is now 3 years old and I have already seen an improvement in his drawing and it’s how much easier for him to have more balance when drawing. Recommended.

Helping my 5 year old with his finger placement
I got these because my 5 year old is still not holding his pencil properly. These are helping him to get the hang of it. He doesn't complain about using them so they must be comfortable enough. I am hoping he will get used to the proper grip with help from these. They do stay on a standard number 2 pencil very good and are good quality. They stay on so well that they are hard to get off, so you probably want to put it on a pencil that you are ok with keeping these on. A con is the finger holes are a little big for my 5 year old, but they are still doable. If you found my review helpful please click helpful.

Great help for kids!
The pencil grip is just the right size for kids but the part holding the fingers in place is a little thin and can tear after using. Other than that, it has really helped my kid with writing.

Too loose for regular pencils too hard to get on thick kindergarten pencils.
These would be a great idea if they fit well. They are too loose on regular pencils and fall off because they slide up and down on them. For the thicker kindergarten pencils for learning to write, they are so hard to get on that they hurt your fingers and cause blisters and soreness. Once on the thicker pencils they fit well but if you need to sharpen the pencil you have to remove them which is just as hard as getting them on in the first place. We used them for a couple days and haven't since, my hands hurt from trying to take them off and on so many times to sharpen for my kids. I would not purchase again.

Comfortable and sturdy
Bought for my preschooler who struggles with lack of strength in hands and difficulty with holding a pencil/marker/crayon correctly. These pencil grips are simple yet effective. Fingers "pockets" are soft and flexible like a very thin eraser. Price is great. They come in a zipped bag so easy to put away or just use one at a time.

Great for class!
I give these to my students who are working on holding their pencils correctly, and I always see positive improvement in their handwriting. I was nervous that my middle schoolers fingers might not fit in them but they did!

My 5 year old son is left handed, and my husband and I are both right handed. We have been struggling to help him learn to print. His SK teacher commented how poor his writing is. She started assigning homework each day and at the SK level, it was a constant fight. He doesn’t want to do his homework and I can totally understand that, he is still so little. I am very much suspecting that we are headed for an ADHD/ADD diagnosis ( just like me ). So,throw in a child that can’t focus on the task at hand with a super frustrated mom ( I am learning how to deal with that ) and we had a disaster brewing before our eyes. I scoured blog posts and Amazon for solutions that I could throw my money at. I found it. These awesome braces to hold pencils and pens. These braces work for both left and right handed children. It corrects the problem with grasping the pencil. That was something that we had no idea how to help him. His writing has improved vastly and he is so proud of himself, that he is actually focusing on his writing a lot better.

Really not sure how fingers are supposed to fit into these, they were unusable.

Good grip to help kids learn to hold their pencil properly. Unfortunately it only fits a standard size pencil/ pen. Would not work for markers, etc. it would be good if this multi pack came with different sizes to fit on different types of utensils or the material to have more give to fit thicker pens.

This type of grip was recommended for our 9 year old who had an inefficient pencil grip. Both our 9 year old and 7 year old use it and it seems to be helping.
