## Questions & Answers

**Q: is it PF46, or replaced with PF46E**
A: The PF46E is sold as a replacement for the PF46 which was in turn a replacement for the larger filter that originally was installed in my 2003 GMC Sierra.  There is some belief on the forums that the internals are different on the 46E but I don't know if that's true or not.  Personally I am staying with the 46.

**Q: under "oil filter" its marked PF46, but are these marked 88984215 under "duraguard"**

**Q: This filter is advertised as oem p46. is amazon making sure it is a true p46?**
A: Probably not…ACDelco has gotten cheaper lately. You will probably end up with PF46E. It will still work for a daily driver with proper service but quality has definitely slipped. 
I have recently changed to WIX (same as Napa) and would recommend doing the same, changing to a higher quality filter for a few dollars more (K&N, wix, napa)
Watch some YouTube oil filter reviews where they get cut open. Kinda scary when you find out how cheap some filters are. Just my 2 cents.

It's an oil filter, screws on just like any other, filters the oil. No better or worse than any other brand, since they are all made in China.
