Journal 29 Revelation: Interactive Book Game

Amazing books if you enjoy puzzles. I was thoroughly lost in this series and so sad to have finished them. The online community is wonderful too should you ever get stuck

I got this book after reading a couple of reviews as I was looking for something interactive, like an adventure, that would allow me to use my logic and creativity to the fullest during lockdown. I became addicted to completing the puzzles and would continue working on them during evenings and weekends (when not working, of course). What I appreciate is that some puzzles become instantly clear when you have a frame of reference to know what the puzzle is referring to (chemistry symbols, morse code, etc.). It is even more fun to work on the book with 1-2 people where you all bring your experience and knowledge to the table. I purchased 6 copies to share at Christmas and now they have all bought the 2nd book, Journal 29 Revelations which is even more fun. Enjoy!!

A great idea and fun to play but I can't help wondering what will happen when the publisher inevitably takes the website down. It would be so much better if it were self-contained. Maybe the answers could be ciphered and the first puzzle could teach you how to decrypt each answer. Or, with careful page layouts, you could flick to the back of the book and read the answers and material that unlocks afterwards one at a time.

I bought my husband this as a gift and he's really enjoying it. Some of it is difficult, but this makes for a better challenge. He says it's just as good as the first, and the author gives good hints without giving the problem away. Would definitely recommend.

Bought it as a gift for a friend. He really enjoyed the first book, so the second one was a nice surprise for him. Like that the puzzles are quite hard and really make you to think outside the box.

Absolutely loved this puzzle book. Something allthe family can join in and is very addictive! Some puzzles harder than others so a good mixture.

The sequel utilizes what Journal 29 did well and adds another layer of difficulty (i.e. fun). The addition of storyline made the book more engaging and also meant that Journal 29 made more sense. No need to do both in order (Although it does help understand the thinking of some of the puzzles). If you are only planning on getting one, get this one.

Played this on holiday and had huge fun doing it. Some really tricky pages too!

This book is a fantastic continuation from the first book with more story line built in and lots more puzzles to solve. A great buy

Most puzzels will only be understood by mostly american people or people that associate with american kind of puzzels. Outside of america you will need online help since the obvious for a american is definitely not the obvious for me as a european (dutch) person. Overal nice puzzels, not great, just okay.

Entertaining challenging great fun

Es un escape room para hacer solo. Los puzles pueden ser en ocasiones algo difíciles pero es muy divertido. Jugué a la primera versión y este lo vi perfecto para regalo para un buen amigo que es muy mental.
