25 LB Pet Food Storage Container

This container is terrific for storing open dog food bags or loose kibble. Before we got the container, having an open bag of kibble was more challenging because it was tempting for our dog to "self-serve" if it was accessible, even clipped shut. Putting it in the garage wasn't an option either because we live where wildlife sometimes sets up housekeeping close by. This container is so convenient because the wheels make it easy to roll under a kitchen counter, out of the way. The airtight snap lid keeps the food fresh and safe. As smart as our dog is, she can't get it open. The size is nice too, as the large bags we purchase are usually about 22-lbs. The opaqueness makes it easy to see the level of food. Sometimes if we get a good deal on another high quality kibble, we'll mix the previous food with the new one for an easier transition for our dog. Nice sturdy product that looks like it will last a long time.

Best brand for pet food storage. The lid locks properly and stays on. My dogs can't open it as they can with the most recent brand I purchased. The wheels lock in and don't drop out if you need to lift up the container. I don't know if it keeps the food fresh or not (haven't tried the dogfood lol) but this product does what it says it is going to do and I purchased two of these several years ago and they have held up beautifully.

I love the ease of this! I ordered this on a flash sale, I am so glad I did!! The lid on mine snaps closed easily, not sure why others were having issues with their's! 🤔 I love the wheels on the bottom, only time I dislike them is when you get down to the bottom of the container it's hard to get food out, or when filling it up, make sure you have it secure against a wall, or someone holding it so it doesn't move, I learned the hard way! Lol... but I love that it's easy to move with the food in it becauseof tge wheels! It held 30lbs of dog food, but it went to the very top of the brim, and the lid didn't shut air right from being too full, so I held some back and put the bag in a small airtight tote, plus I like to make room for my scoop so I dont ever fill to the top. I am sure that kibble size with the different dog food brands would determine how 30lbs fit, we used pedigree and the kibble are a bit bigger than some other brands.

I love how much food I can store and how easy it is to move around the house. I highly recommend this for about everyone.

I got this container to store my 25 lb bag of Bread Flour in. This is meant for pet food, but it's food-grade plastic so it should be fine for flour too. I had already used about a ¼ or so of the flour before the container arrived, so the flour level in the included picture isn't accurate (it's lower than it would be with a full 25 lb. bag). This container is actually too big for my flour. 25 lbs of pet food is obviously going to be bulkier than 25 lbs of flour. The wheels are set into the bottom of the container and only roll forward/backwards. I actually like that the wheels are inlaid because this offers more stability. I have the container on my back counter for now, but I ultimately want to store it in my basement pantry area on the floor since it has wheels. The lid closes and latches/locks well, but I had a problem with the white seal ring popping out of it's groove when I first got it. If the seal is not in the groove properly, the container won't seal shut well. I have to make sure the seal stays pressed up into the groove when I open/close it. It's better now, since I stuck it in the groove and kept the container closed for a few days. I did this in hopes that the seal would stay pressed into the groove better. It did. It's important to make sure the seal is properly placed before trying to close the lid.

Works perfect love the wheels

I bought a similar pet food container a few years ago from the local store with the bulls eye logo. That container has bitten the dust in a bad way and has a huge hole in it so it came time to replace it. I went to said store over the weekend and intended to buy another one. However, I was shocked to find out how much it was; it was much more than I wanted to pay. So of course I turned my search to Amazon and scanned the barcode of the pet food container in front of me in the store. I have never done this so was not sure if it would work because the container in the store is a private label from that store, but much to my surprise it did work and my search led me here. Not only was it the same size but it was significantly cheaper than in the store. I like the fact that it has wheels so it is easy to push around to wherever I need it to go. The opening is nice and large and has a front locking mechanism so it doesn't accidentally fly open. And, most importantly, it is made right here in the USA! Very happy with this item. Sorry brick and mortar but Amazon won again. Hope this review is helpful to your pet food container decision making.

This container is perfect for my needs. It holds a 28 pound bag of dog food (I use Taste of the Wild) with room for another couple of pounds. The wheels are recessed which I feel will last longer than the swivel wheels. The downside is that the wheels do not rotate, but not an issue if you are sliding back and forth out of a closet or pantry. The lid has a foam-like gasket to keep bugs out and freshness in. It does have a latch to lock the lid down and keep the dogs from helping themselves to a snack. Overall for the price, it is worth it. ***UPDATE*** It has been almost 4 years since I purchased this and this dog food container works just as well as day one! Lid still securely closes and the recessed wheels still roll effortlessly even with 28 pounds of feed in it. It slides easily underneath my bottom shelf in the pantry.

I am so pleased with this container. I am only sad I didn't come across this sooner. I'll share a few product highlights and pictures to match. 1. Capacity: My girl eats Horizon Pulsar dog food. I always get the 25 lbs bags, and usually restock when I have about 1/4 left. I was able to add the new bag and the quarter (roughly) remaining of the old bag with a bit of space to spare. I am very impressed with the capacity. 2. Tight seal: The lid has a foam lining around the rim to keep food fresh. When closed, it is a nice tight seal. 3. Locking handle: The handle locks into place nicely. It is very sturdy, and unless you're the hulk, it won't snap off. 4. Overall thoughts: This is a solid container that will withstand the test of time if treated properly. The wheels are a bonus, as I am able to maneuver it wherever I want, especially since it holds more than 25 lbs of my girls' food. I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs to store large amounts of food for a big dog, or multiple smaller dogs.

I'm very happy with the Van Ness 25 Pound Food Container with Wheels. I use it to store my Traeger pellets, and it works perfectly. This is the 2nd Van Ness storage container I have ordered and the largest one so far. I ordered a large size to store wild bird seed and it does the job beautifully. The container is a great size holding a lot of seed and the wheels make it very easy to maneuver. The construction is solid and the lid snaps closed easily and securely and does not pop open unexpectedly. I definitely recommend this product.

This dog food airtight container is almost perfect! It has a generous amount of space, which is great for storing a large quantity of kibble. The airtight seal keeps the food fresh and the design is sturdy. My only critique is that the wheels are built into the container, making it a bit difficult to get the last bit of kibble out. Other than that, it's a fantastic product and I highly recommend it.

With three cats in the house we do get through a lot of cat biscuits and obviously buying in bulk is far more cost effective. I was concerned that a container large enough to hold a bulk bag of biscuits might not be air-tight or mobile enough but this ticks all the right boxes. The container opens/closes with a distinct 'click' noise (which our cats now recognise and come running to!) and the inside of the lid has an air-tight ring. We're almost at the end of a 10kg bag of biscuits and they still smell as fresh as when we first opened the packet. Great purchase!
