Buy This Book Before Any Other Golden Dawn Book - If you are just starting out or dabbling to see if the Golden Dawn Magic system is for you, then this is the place to start. This book is an easier read and tests your understanding at the end of each chapter with a little quiz. It is a very brief overview of the history, meaning, terms, and practices of the Golden Dawn. There are plenty of ritual practices in the book to get you started. If you think the Golden Dawn is for you after reading this book and trying out some of the rituals, I strongly recommend you next start Self-Initiation Into the Golden Dawn (which will also give you further reading as you work your way through the grades in that book). Even though I have read many other Golden Dawn books, I still learned a few things from this book. It pulled a lot together for me. After all we are all Neophytes no matter what grade we are. Enjoy! Review: Easy to follow. Excellent overview! - The material is ordered in a way that helps the reader grasp the Golden Dawn Order, and a bit of its history. It doesn’t go in the order of the ranks, however, it starts off giving you key framework so that as you dive into the details, the information has a basis. Very easy to read as the concepts and the terms nest into each other. A must have, I believe, for any new magic worker or someone who wants to understand the basic tenants and works of Golden Dawn magic.

One of the best books for beginners
After years of studying the Golden Dawn system of magic, I found this book to be a refreshing look at the system. Rather than following the traditional order of teaching through the grades, this is more like an encyclopedia of knowledge that can be practically applied to the work by a beginning or intermediate magician. There are new meditations and exercises which greatly aid you if you are not a member of a temple or working with a teacher who can direct you. There are very clear explanations of each of the rituals and how to do them, including the inner visualizations that you normally do not get in a book. It does not contain the initiation rituals as it is not a book for self initiation, nor does it contain the symbolism found only in those initiation rituals. However, do not let that stop you from using this book! It is a solid study guide for the practicing magician and is a valuable asset to anyone interested in the Golden Dawn system of magic.

Practical GD Magic Made Clear
The Ciceros give a clear and concise overview of practical Golden Dawn magical practice in this book. It is arranged in a logical manner with clearly explained material and diagrams which enhance the discussion of the materials in the text. In the over 25 years of experience I have with the Golden Dawn and its practice, this is the one book that should be read, often, by those whom are not only interested in Golden Dawn practical magical work, but by those whom have experience with this system of magic. Cannot recommend this book enough!

Jam-packed!
Great book. Jam-packed full of information. Very concise and to the point. Not overly "wordy" like many other books on this subject. This book will take you a long time and many re reads to get all the information in it. It contains a good deal of basic exercises and visualizations too. This is a great book for anyone interested in the Golden Dawn or Western Mysticism in general. I'm happy with my purchase.

Worth its weight in gold
My opinion of this book is very high.did I learn anything new? Not much. Just good solid magickial golden dawn principles put together in a very understandable and usable format. I loved this book. I been a student of this art for 35 years and this is now one of my favorite books. Others that have been around that long might say it's to basic. But it's not. It has everything you need in it. Everything.

Clear and concise introduction to the GD!
This book is a great introduction to the GD. It is very well written, and very engaging. Straightforward and to the point, it gives just enough history and background to validate the pedigree of the material. I enjoy this book very much, and will definitely recommend it!

Excellent book. well done the Cicero's. Its in workbook format, with lots of space around the text so you can navigate round and are not overwhelmed like some of the other 'tomes'. a wide range of content - covering theory of symbols, Hebrew alphabet, Kabalah, Pentagram rituals, visualizations, vibrations etc. Most of the chapters feature numerous practical exercises which are IMO the heart of the book, and take some repeated efforts to master, i.e. developing your powers of visualization. I imagine it will take me 6 months of study (30 mins a day) to go through this. perhaps a criticism could be - the kabalah and tarot (featured in different chapters) are only very generally covered. However this is not an issue really as a basic Kabalah is such a vast subject it needs a book all to itself - i can recommend Dion Fortune for this, or for a more modern take John Michael Greer's Paths of Wisdom. in summary - an excellent book for those relatively new to occultism. I imagine this tool will be on my reference shelf for some years to come

この本に、ケテルの儀式が書いて有る。この本を買ったなら、ぜひ、Ritual Use of Magical Tools: The Magician's Art
