Very effective for pet fur and a time saver
I bought this to quickly pick up cat hair from a new rug I purchased. I wanted something quick and easy to use, without starting the robot vac. This thing does the job and I love using it. I have four cats and a few times a week I go over the area rugs in my living area and entryways, and it’s a snap to use and it picks up SO much fur! It’s easy to open and empty too. You can easily wipe it clean and put it in a closet or corner. Great color choices and I love the vintage aesthetic it adds too. It’s small, but is built well. I highly recommend if you want something to help you battle pet hair!

I love this thing, just be aware of what it is, how it works, etc.
I love this Fuller Brush , just be aware of what it is, how it works, etc. I can definitely see & understand anyone who would have some frustration & confusion with this thing. It does need a bit of understanding, finesse, and realistic expectations. Let's start with what the Fuller Brush 17052 Electrostatic Carpet & Floor Sweeper - 9" IS: - Totally non-powered; ZERO electricity; batteries; none of it. 100% manually-powered. - Does have a single brush that rotates as you manually push +wheel it around the floor. The brush seems identical to what is inside a vacuum cleaner & spins around to help pick up debris, but again; THIS BRUSH IS **NOT** ELECTRIC IN ANY WAY. It's made of the same stiff, horse / boar-hair material that is usually on all vacuum cleaners. - It is very small & compact. I love the size, but also wish they would come out with an "XL" size as an option; maybe 1-2" bigger. Obviously the larger it becomes, the less maneuverable it becomes, heavier, etc. so it's a trade-off. But it is compact. - Easy to use (with some caveats, detailed later) - Quiet. Almost 100% quiet, again; because it is not electric. A friend was over & commented how it emits a really soothing sound & I agree. Just a soft wheeling, gently and pleasantly squeakish kind of sound. I like it. It is WAY quieter than the questest vacuum; you could absolutely use this while a baby or light sleeper is sleeping. In the same room, no less. Extremely quiet. And now, what this tool is NOT: - Vacuum. - Scrubber - Perfect - Flawless - Does not Instantly suck up everything in its path. First thing I want to say is our home is mostly hardwood floors. This Fuller brush / broom works so-so on hardwood, but it definitely works much better on carpet and soft surfaces, such as any of the area rugs / floor mats we have in our home, soft & squishy kitchen mats, etc. Works excellent (almost perfectly) on soft / carpeted surfaces like those. However, I still love this thing & am definitely keeping it. One trick I've discovered; for debris / crumbs / gunk that this broom / brush won't pick up immediately or seems to simply push / scoot out of the way instead of inhaling it; pick up the whole broom, put the exact center of the broom (right where the brush is) right on top of whatever you are trying to sweep up. Now push it gently & softly. THEN, about 95% of the time, it will sweep up the debris that it has otherwise been simply shoving out of the way. I haven't taken the time to really investigate & think through why it works like this, but whatever. Kind of annoying, but again; I'm still giving this thing 5 stars. Basically; you are putting the round brush right on top of whatever gunk you are trying to pick up. It's as if something underneath is too low-clearance & is just pushing certain crumbs / debris out of the way, but picking it up & placing the broom right centered & on top of it, picks it right up. Usually. - If you have any ladies with long hair (or 80's male rock stars I guess LOL) living with you, holy cow.....be prepared.....for the unreal amount of hair this thing will pick up! Buy yourself a knife if you don't already have a good one, because You WILL need a blade to cut their hair off of the brush, because it gets SO tangled up. You can imagine how tangled / wrapped long hair would get around a circular brush (again; like what's in your vacuum). The included "claw" tool is very cool & great, but a little insufficient for the amount of long hair & carpet fibers (long from where our *&#$ cat picks at an area of the carpet) this thing picks up. It DOES pick them all up beautifully, however. This is NOT a negative; it's GOOD that it picks up all these hair & fiberrs, and if you've ever seen the bottom of a vacuum cleaner that's been used more than once, you've no doubt seen tons of hair & other fibers wrapped around the rotating brush. Same with this. Nothing this device is doing wrong; its just how it works with long hair / fibers & round brushes. This brush inside its little "bays" holds a surprising (and gross!) amount of debris. Holy cow; the amount of dust, hair, gunk & junk it accumulates, even from a seemingly "clean" floor is awe-inspiring (and gross!). It is very easy to empty, and it does NOT require any filters, bags; nothing of the sort, which is a huge plus. Just hold it over the trash can, press where indicated, and gently tap to dump everything. Again; depending how much hair / fibers / nuclear-sized dust bunnies you have, you might need to get the included & handily attached "claw" tool to help dig the crap out & into the trash. I've long wanted a better way of picking up crumbs, pet hair, & other debris that just accumulates when you have hardware floors. I was about to buy a standing dust pan & broom (so I don't have to squat down) but then I ran across this Fuller Brush 17052 Electrostatic Carpet & Floor Sweeper & decided to try it. I'm very glad I did & it's a keeper for me. Just play & experiment with it & have realistic expectations of what it is & can do, vs. what it's not intended to be / do.

Finally found something that makes me WANT to clean
update: i have learned my lesson. like anything with bristles, hair WILL get caught in this. it won't last forever. i guess it's my own hair (long) that over time, wrapped around the bristle. so i have to take the bristle out and CUT...in the process i am cutting some of the fibers :/ we deal with a lot of hair (mine, my husband's, dogs, a cat who shed a lot and is long haired) ...so i still enjoy this but learned y lesson. as long as you have pets or a lot of hair, avoid anything with bristles. we ended up getting the bissell pet hair eraser, which i now keep plugged in all the time bc my main objection to using it was i hated the process of unwinding, plugging in, unplugging, rolling up...seems to be a good solution. My only gripe is that I wish I had known about this years ago. I have an odd dislike of vacuums - I don't like plugging them in, I don't like their weight, I don't like the sound they make. So my fiancee has been doing all of the vacuuming and he assumes I hate cleaning. I don't. I'll do it if it can seem fun. Well the other day we went to the olive garden and there was someone using this type of sweeper. I immediately knew I'd love using it, so we went on amazon, saw this one had great reviews (and since we have multiple pets, I loved the reviews that assured me it takes care of pet hair), and tried it out. Was delighted to find it comes in a small box, which means it can be assembled and dissasembled. it's a little difficult to make sure you screw the handle together straight, that took a few tries to do but not more than a minute. I was amazed to find that this picked up the cat and dog hair and crumbs in a few fun, quiet sweeps. Lightweight and fun. I've been using it every day just because it's fun - no electricity, no heaviness, no loud vacuum noise, just fun. to empty it you jut open the two sections of the bottom into the garbage can - it catches A LOT of hair, and empties easily. I have only had this a few days but suddenly i'm cleaning multiple times every day. it is like using toy, and doing exercise, and you get the reward of a clean carpet and hardwood floor. Also it's a very cute red color. and cheap!!!! I love this thing. I hope it lasts and i SO wish I had known about it before we bought our $300 bulky vacuum monster. I think this would have been good enough. Takes up hardly any space. It says it works through electrostatic energy, which i want to learn more about. Bristles are horsehair. Comes with a brush to clean it. The handle kicks back to an angle so you don't have to hold it straight. A++ I am fascinated by this thing and want to understand how it works now. ps handle is nice and long, i'm 5'8 and don't have to bend. i'm telling everyone about this thing. the real plug in vacuum does a better job of really getting every little piece of dirt off the rug, so i use this every day to make the room "good enough" and use the heavy plug in vacuum once a week.

Good product
The sweeper is lightweight, as advertised. Perhaps because it is lightweight, it seemed to take more effort on the "pull/reverse" part of the sweeping motion than I expected to try to keep It flush with the floor (if that is how it's supposed to be). Different from using one many years ago but acceptable as long as it cleans as it should. The handle screws counterclockwise ever so slightly during the course of going over the floor. It hasn't come unscrewed but I do keep turning it clockwise during the cleaning session. Otherwise, it performs as indicated. I'd rate the sweeper 4.5 so far. It suits my needs for my age and health. Interactions with the seller 5.0. No problems with order, payment, delivery or expectations.

It's pricey, but it works really really well on area rugs. It does pick up hair and dirt.
A little pricey but it does work, and I cannot use a traditional vacuum on my area rugs so I'm glad there's this option. It does pick up hair and dirt and it is very easy to use. I would buy this product again.

They just don’t make things like they used to…
Growing up I remember the carpet sweeper we had in our house. It was heavy, made of metal, had several height settings, and was a workhorse of a device. This Fuller brush carpet sweeper is so not that. It’s like 9” wide, not very sturdy, and feels small, weak, and fragile. It does sweep the carpet fairly well, but is nothing like the one of my childhood (which was likely not a fuller brush brand sweeper). It works ok on larger floor debris, but it leaves behind the smaller dirt “particles” that could still be felt on the area rug when walking with bare feet. Also the $70+ dollars we spent on this seems a bit pricey for what you get. Would I recommend? No. You might want to try a cheaper brand first to see how they work for you. You could buy at least 2-3 other cheap brands to compare for the price of the Fuller Brush sweeper. Does it work? Kind of. Good enough for what we need, but I’m betting a cheaper brand would work just as well. Would I buy it again? No.

Great product
Great product. At first I thought it was to small but it is so easy to use. Work great. Easy to handle. Easy to store. It is definitely worth the price.

I love my red sweeper!
Wow I love this! I hate dragging the heavy, noisy vacuum cleaner out but this does a great job. It cleans up the debris and cat hair on the carpet and leaves those vacuum marks so your brain tells you it’s clean. It’s so easy to open up and clean. I imagine I’ll still bring the big one out now and then but I love this for the interim. My grandmother had one and again, she was right!

The Best Little Carpet Sweeper Ever
We have always had a Carpet Sweeper in our house. Due to rising Electricity costs I decided to get a new version of the traditional one and researched carefully before making a purchase. This Fuller Brush Company unit gets 5 Stars from me. Despite its' petite size it is a good weight and cleans fabulously easily. Even after running over the rugs this week with a Mini Vac I was amazed at what was picked up in the first use. The 3 Yr Limited Warranty is an extra bonus. It was shipped quickly to Australia as well.

What an absolute little UNIT!
I've always had a carpet sweeper - always a Bex Bissell, but I had NO idea a sweeper could be as top notch as this Fuller. The wasted years of back and forth over the same bit when this little sweetie instantly gobbles everything - guinea pig pellets, hay stems, dog hair and veg peelings all neatly packaged in a mass of grit, fluff and dried mud all easily emptied from two pans. Proper bristles on the rollers - not bits of J-cloth like Bissell now use. And it's solid - no rattly bits. Worth every penny of the extra cost. I feel sure I'll end up passing it on to the kids in my will!

Simply the BEST Sweeper on the market!
Hi Everyone! This sweeper has its place in every home! I have long been researching options to pick up dust/fluff, hair etc. quickly, I think I did a great job comparing Bissell vs other NoName Sweepers on our market ( Switzerland, Europe). I did not buy for a year to collect more data, watched countless videos and reviews. No, this is not a sponsored/infuenced review. This is my honest opinion. I contacted Fuller if they can send it to us to Switzerland, but there was no way. So I ordered it here to a delivery address to Germany. Yesterday I got it and could not wait to see if it collects my long blond hair, my husbands fluff , dog hair etc. THIS SWEEPER DOES AN AMAZING JOB! I went through hard floor, and hard wood floor plus carpets. All surfaces clean! I was really shocked how much fluff was collected off the "seemingly" clean carpet. Wow! The best that this even cleans up the in-between places at the junctions of carpet and hard floor where Bissell was not great at all. Top top top or as we say here, tip top! I was looking for a solution to collect fluff quickly and quietly, and this is the best I found. Amazingly smooth and makes no noise compared to a hand vacuum. The sweeper house is sturdy, even if it bumps into a harder surface - eg. wall, table - it does no harm. Most importantly, it will not damage more expensive rugs. Of course, this is not for deep cleaning and will not replace regular vacuuming, but for everyday I found the solution I wanted! Super solution for families with pets, or anyone where hair on floor is an issue and you wish to have a tidy home all the time! I hope you found value in my review, and wish you all well!

Actually fun to use!
When this first arrived, I was not surprised to see how small and seemingly flimsy it was based on other reviewers comments. But, like many other reviewers, I am impressed with its actual sturdiness, and I love the mini work out I get when I roll it back and forth. It picks up our cat hair really well, and is a perfect fix between cleanings by our Robo vac or our traditional vacuum. Highly recommend.

Balai mecanique magique.
Le meilleur. Idéal pour tous les sols. Efficace tapis, moquette, carrelage. Il avale tout. Matériel de qualité. Pour nettoyer la brosse afin de libérer fils et cheveux je me sert d'une fourchette, délicatement. A vider après chaque utilisation pour le garder bien propre. Bravo il était temps. Merci
