I've used this to undercoat my 2014 Ram 1500. I hit the cab mounts, frame rails, under the bed, inside the wheel wells and inside the bumpers. My truck has not started to rot that I can see today (1/15/2022)I ordered this product in Jan 2022 for a new truck that I ordered and hope to receive this March. As soon as I receive the new truck my plan is to do the same as what I did to my 2014. My only hope/fear is that this stuff that I received is not old from sitting. I did rattle them all so hopefully they will perform as expected.From my previous experience with this product, it works very well and dries nicely and not sticky to the touch after a day. It also provides a small amount of sound deadening as well. I've used a couple other brands that either did not dry nicely and remained sticky, or were not easy to spray evenly like the 3M brand does. I'm satisfied this product will work well.

I haven't found anything that's better or lasts longer, I use this stuff on all my vehicles. Of course preparation is everything, but I put this stuff on a 2010 chevy pickup truck when it was new and just now after 13 years it's not perfect but by FAR better condition than most in Wisconsin. Even my mechanic told me to keep at it because it's a keeper. I've tried cheaper stuff and it doesn't last a year. Only downside to this is it comes out pretty fast and if it's your first time using it might take you by surprise.

Scuff surface before application

I have a white 2019 dually with the fender liners painted white. It shows all the dirt that gets stuck to it. I used the undercoating to match the front of the truck and to avoid constantly cleaning the fender wells. I taped off fender and frame as I wanted a clean look of just the fender wells. I covered the tires in plastic. Shake can a lot, wear gloves, spray a light coat (you may have to wipe tip a few times as it drips). Add second coat if desired. IMO when can starts to get low, you can tell because spray doesn’t come out the same, stop. Throw can away. Otherwise you will get globs of undercoat that makes coating look uneven. It takes one can each side with a light coat. I used three cans between both sides because I wanted a second coat in the more splashed up areas. I think it turned out great. Let’s hope it holds up.
