SP Gadgets Remote Pole for GoPro (39 inch)

I was actually thinking of buying the genuine GoPro 3 way, but it just wouldn't be that long and it's also apparently not that tough... Just plastic... I liked the idea of it getting the stick out of shot but since I'm going snowboarding and might stack it a few times I think this was a better choice. Genuine SP Gadgets product. Very easy to adjust the length of the pole. It's also really easy to rotate the swivel head at the end of the pole. The handle is the perfect diameter and it feels really grippy in my hand. There's enough room above the remote that is fixed (non extending part), that will allow me to mount the GoPro bike bar mount which I'm going to use to attach the battery/remote of the Z1-Rider). The remote control compartment has a piece of clear plastic that clips over the remote to hold it in. It's really sturdy and tight and once it's clipped in there's no way that remote it coming out. It does take a bit of effort to remove this however and I am worried I may end up accidentally breaking it at some point but it's probably something to is replaceable, it pretty flexible plastic, it's just something that I think may eventually break if I'm not careful.

Great product. Everything works well and as expected. It is a bit pricey, but with the remote holder and the sturdiness of the pole it gives you the comfort and ability to take some pretty amazing shots. Owning this I've only experienced two issues. First, the blue metal strap holder on the bottom came off after a few weeks. I'd definitely recommend removing it first and then re-applying super glue to it for a much more promising hold. The second issue i'm experiencing is the Wi-Fi remote under water. I'm not sure if it's from the extra bulk around the remote that causes it to lose a signal, but when I went diving underwater with the pole not extracted, the remote could not hold a signal to the camera. The twist-lock feature is pretty cool too, you grab the top of the pole and twist to unlock 3 different portions of the pole for extension. At first I was worried because it seemed like a cheap feature, but it holds up very well. Overall, this pole met my expectations, it's extremely easy to use in regards to adjustment, and is extremely sturdy. I would definitely purchase again if I was to ever need another one, even at the high price. I've used a few poles in the past and this one far exceeds anything I've used.

Compared to the XShot this pole is very rugged and the ability to access the remote is great. The swivel to position this camera is also really good - very adjustable and solid feeling. For the price a lighter version would be great but compared to other poles it does feel better made. One upside of the XShot is how small it is when collapsed. This pole is fairly compact but can't fit in a coat pocket like an XShot so depending on how and when it will be used that might be something to consider. It is comfortable to use for most shots and the sections lock in very securely. I was concerned the remote might pop out in a crash but it seems fairly secure despite the cover just being held in place with friction and no real locking tabs, clips or similar. Overall a very nice accessory, just a little pricey for something not made out of carbon fiber or some other exotic material.

This pole has been very useful, and its ability to extend significantly helps capture some interesting angles. Its construction is very solid; it has fallen several times without major damage, and after 10 years, it still works despite some rust from being submerged in saltwater. However, this could have been avoided with the application of oil and does not affect its performance.

It's hard for me to give this pole 3/5 stars because I love its potential soooooo much. I get stopped and asked questions all the time about it. Everyone loves the integrated remote housing. This would easily be a 5/5 if the following things were corrected. First, after using this several times underwater my pole became hard to extend and contract. It was like the salt water oxidized the interior extending poles. Secondly, the untwist (to extend) and twist (to lock) functionality became worn and sometimes the pole would contract on its own. Finally I was constantly adjusting the top of the pole because it always seemed like my camera was leaning a little to the left. With all that being said, I love the look and design of this pole and have ordered another one. My first pole only lasted 1 year. I could still use it, but decided to purchase another one.

I've bought a couple other high end poles, this is by far the best for the gopro. It works very well with the remote housing, and I think its the only one with housing like this. The people who had issues with the remotes coming out weren't very bright. You need to make sure it actually "clicks" before you go underwater. Nothing the pole did wrong, you just need to put the remote in, make sure it clicks, and then i pull on it a little just to double check I really got it to lock in. One time, I had not before I jumped in the water. Remember the remote is only waterproof to 10'. I like the hand strap that comes with it as well. I really like this pole. With all of the options out there for poles it took me forever to decide which one to go with. Ultimately I chose this one because I have a remote and didn't find any other options that had a nice built in holder for the remote. The pole is pretty light, easy fits into a backpack and has a nice grip. The only thing I could say that I have trouble with is getting the top tier of the pole to unlock so it can be stored. I usually have to play with it a bit till it collapses down. But I'd rather that be the issue than it be the other way around and not lock properly! Over all its a great pole, it's nicely made and worth the cost. Also its waterproof which is nice, its just not supposed to be taken in salt water.

It really helps you reducing those extra minutes of filming waste by using the remote properly. You can take pictures or videos when you really want without touching the camera. The grip is big and steady with a rubberized finish and the swivel that holds your GoPro rotates 360º. I'm not happy about the weight of this pole but maybe is cause it expands up to 39 inches which I think is the best distance for self-shooting when doing action sports.

...lo uso per i concerti di mia moglie, nei teatri e nei palchi...La uso con una GoPro Hero4 in commistione ad altre 3 telecamere, una GoPro SIlver4 su un Motrr e due Canon su rispettivi treppiedi. Questo accessorio è ergonomico al massimo, in un attimo si estende (quasi un metro), basta svitare di mezzo giro, ponendo le mani alle due estremità, e l'asta è pronta per l'estensione, si allunga in un'azione di 2/3 secondi max. Per richiudere, il contrario, si avvita e si comprime. Dà un effetto scenografico stupefacente, è il senso di un cameraman sopraelevato che effettua carrellate sui soggetti da riprendere, e fra braccio e Pole si arriva totalmente a 2 metri ca, quindi è facile immaginare una sensazione fortemente aerea. Precisazione, ma non è un difetto: bisogna tenere in considerazione che muovendo il manico (alla base, nell'impugnatura) di mezzo cm, si ripercuote corrispondendo una vibrazione di 2 cm nel punto diametralmente opposto, ovvero dov'è situata la GoPro. Con un po' di allenamento si eliminerà il problema ma i primi tempi si può incorrere nel classico tremolio, leggero, ma fastidioso. Facile da tenere e portare con sé, grazie al comodo laccetto da polso, e nella confezione vengono fornite una chiave di serraggio per il perno (che stranamente non è quello canonico, perché si presenta con una testa a tre lati), ed una chiave di fissaggio per stringere/mollare la ghiera ad aletta che fissa il posizionamento della GoPro, gestibile quasi a 360°. Io l'ho testato per una serata, e devo ammettere che mi sono trovato col polso intorpidito perché seppur leggero, in fase allungata, ovviamente, aumenta la resistenza alla presa, bisogna quindi impratichirsi... ma è fantastico!!! LO CONSIGLIO... anche per il prezzo, che sul sito del rivenditore ufficiale mi pare costi una ventina di euro in più. CINQUE STELLE ..

Der Stick erfüllt seinen Zweck voll und ganz. Wer SP Produkte kennt, weiß wie hochwertig diese sind. Die Remote sitzt perfekt und die Handhabung ist intuitiv. Die Länge des Sticks ist völlig ausreichend und es lassen sich sehr schöne Aufnahme i. V. m. einer GoPro machen. Das Ausziehen und verriegeln funktioniert durch drehen der einzelnen Elemente. Sehr stabil in jede Längenkombination. Preislich etwas teurer als andere Produkte, aber dafür stimmt die Qualität. Auch unter Wasser macht der Stick eine gute Figur. Lediglich beim ersten Eintauchen ins Wasser erzeugen die entweichenden Luftblasen ein Geräusch, welches man auf den Aufnahmen nicht gebrauchen kann. Ist der Stick einmal im Wasser gewesen, gibt es keine Beanstandungen. Alles in Allem: Ein tolles Produkt, wie man es von SP gewohnt ist.

Très bonne qualité de fabrication. Livré avec une dragonne et un mousqueton. Longueur avec Gopro de 40cm à 110cm. Avantage important :se règle comme on veut; On règle la longueur,1/4 de tour et c'est bloqué !!! 2ème avantage : le fait de pouvoir déporter la caméra par rapport à l'axe de la perche; On voit moins ou plus du tout la perche dans la vidéo. Bref, LA perche idéale pour Gopro !!

Este palo extensible vale cada uno de sus €...gran alcance y un material perfecto y si le añadimos el soporte para el mando hace una suma de 5 estrellas! *Se puede meter el palo en el agua sin problemas pero sin el mando ya que no es acuatico

Semplicemente fantastico. Costa un bel po' per un'asta ma permette una regolazione a 360 più un inclinazione in qualsiasi direzione il tutto stringendo una sola vite in più con l'altra vite ke tiene stretta la gopro potete aumentare ancora di più l'inclinazione. Il materiale è ottimo il sistema di allungamento e bloccaggio è semplice e rapido. Il manico è molto più grosso delle altre aste, ma questo xkè ovviamente deve ospitare il remote della gopro; averlo direttamente sull'asta è una super comodità soprattuto quando dovete fare tutto con una mano sola.
