A Lifesaver for Our Cat – Works Wonders!
We bought the Vicks Warm Steam Vaporizer, and it has been a total game-changer, especially for our cat. We noticed she was having some trouble breathing, and after trying a few different things, we decided to try this vaporizer to help with her congestion.Performance:The vaporizer works perfectly. It quickly fills the room with warm, soothing steam, and we noticed an improvement in our cat’s breathing almost immediately. It’s so comforting to know she can get some relief while we take care of her in other ways. The warm steam seems to make the air much easier for her to breathe, especially during the colder months when dry air makes things worse.Ease of Use:This vaporizer is incredibly easy to set up and use. It’s quiet, and you can leave it on overnight for continuous relief. The design is simple, and refilling it is a breeze.Benefits:It’s been a great way to ensure our cat stays comfortable, especially with the added moisture in the air. Since using this vaporizer, she’s been able to rest better, and it’s definitely helped her recover faster. We’ve also noticed it’s been beneficial for the whole family – we all breathe better when it’s running.Overall:If you have a pet or anyone in the house who’s dealing with breathing issues, I highly recommend this vaporizer. It’s gentle yet effective, and it’s been a perfect addition to our home, especially for our cat. Very happy with this purchase!

The only humidifier I get!
This is the best hot humidifier in my opinion! I get one every year I don’t even care they only last a year. I use sink water and it has never ruined it! I’ve used so many other humidifiers that tap water creates a buildup and ruins it eventually. I don’t have daily purified bottled water kind of money in this economy! So this unit is the best in my opinion! It’s durable! It lasts for hours and a lot of humidity/steam comes out!

Efficient and uncomplicated experience
This product provides a soft and dense vapor. I was surprised by how quickly it reaches the ideal temperature to vaporize

Literal garbage. Zero stars.
Growing up in the 80s and 90s in a desert climate my mother always had her trusty Vick's steam humidifier rocking to make the house's air more pleasant. Every once in a while we'd dismantle it to remove the hard water deposits from the rods to get it back up to tip top shape. The second I moved out of mom's in the late 90s I bought my own and it was just as trustworthy. Ten years later I replaced it when it stopped working and that one was just as effective. But this latest version that I bought last fall is a joke. This is NOT the same humidifier Vicks used to sell. Where their previous product used to put out a solid stream of steam this PoS bubbles and gurgles to put out a pathetic amount of vapor. You HAVE to add salt if you want it to actually work anymore. When I went to clean the heating rods (which now needs to be done at least once a month where previously they only needed to be serviced twice a year), they're a different metal than what Vicks used to use. They're paper thin and black where they used to be thick with a tinge of coppery color. Just touching them while cleaning leaves your fingers blacker than a coal miner which NEVER happened with their previous humidifiers. Either my city completely changed our water right when I bought this, or Vicks is using the cheapest possible materials to make this. Which one is more likely? But even beyond it's pathetic performance and garbage Chinesium materials, they shortened the rods by what seems to be about 2 inches. This leaves the bottom of the rods WAY short of the bottom of the water reservoir. Where previously when the unit would turn off due to low water you were left with only an inch of water in the bottom of the tub. Now it turns off when the tub is half full.If you have one of their older humidifiers dismantle it and clean it. Don't make the same mistake I did and replace it. These new ones are literal garbage.

The classic, simple, just-works hot steam humidifier like you had as a kid.
I love these old Vick's humidifiers. They are crazy simple and they just work - no fancy knobs, buttons, readouts or anything. I wanted a humidifier in our bedroom this winter for a stretch of very cold and dry weather and it fit the bill without costing a lot of money. As stated in some other reviews, my water required a little added table salt to get the steam going but only the first night - subsequent fill-ups did not require any salt. Also - we don't have mineral heavy water here so I did not get any of the spotting or mineral dust that some others complained about after using the unit. The only detractors for me (and what cost a star) are that 1) there is no on/off switch - you power it off and on by plugging and unplugging it. This is somewhat annoying but also put undue wear on the receptacle connectors. 2) the top could be easier to grip and lift out for refilling.. several times it slipped out of my grip while trying to align the little locking tabs in order to get the top out of the lower tub. Then, once you do have the top off, you have to watch the dripping from the wet unit. It's not hard to pull it out and hold it over the hole while refilling with a pitcher but it takes some patience and coordination (not something you want to deal with if you're sick).Otherwise, I've never had a humidifier that was 100% convenient to fill so it's par for the course.I'll definitely buy another one of these things when I need one.
