Natural Talalay Latex Pillow with Organic Cotton Cover (Standard, Extra Soft)

FINALLY!!! (I'm a stomach and side sleeper) I've been on the hunt for 2 years to replace my old pillow. I've been using a latex pillow that I've loved for nearly 20 years but have needed to get rid of it. However, finding a pillow as perfect as your old one is not always an easy task. We all have our preferences of density or height. Over the last 2 years I've purchased 10 latex pillows. All of which appeared as if it would be similar, but none of them worked. I tried low loft (2" to 3") and they were too low. I tried standard, but all were between 6" and 7". All of which were too dense and didn't allow my head to fall where I needed. Those all gave me neck pain. I stopped looking and gave up on trying to replace until recently saw that my pillow was literally falling apart. The search was back on, but everything I found was what I had looked at before. Came across this Organic Textiles which has a 5" loft and is extra soft. It was more than what I was hoping to pay, but if it would feel similar to my old one, it would have been worth the cost. When I pulled it out of the box, I was pleased to see that it wasn't one that was sealed and needed to expand itself. I was even more excited to feel that it had a good compression. The first night, I could tell that it was slightly different, but by far the closest I've tested. After 1 week of using, it now feels almost identical to my previous pillow. Perfect support and allows me to sleep on my stomach without putting my neck too high. In fact, I took the plunge and actually threw out my old one, so no going back to it. Many latex pillows have a strong mechanical smell. This one had a minimal latex smell, but was gone within a couple days. I'm so happy to have come across this pillow and would recommend it to anyone!

Back in the day you could go to any big chain store and shop for a latex foam pillow. While there You could feel, squeeze, smell, pick it up in the middle and see if it bends on the sides to gauge the softness. Not so anymore. Today it’s a long tedious process of buy it, try it and then return it if you don’t like it. Some pillow companies like “Tummery”, with their hard as a rock latex foam pillows that come with useless super sheer pillow protectors make you pay for the return. thumbs down on this company.Organic textiles sells proper latex foam pillows with four layers of softness along with a nice cotton pillow protector. I ordered the extra soft queen size latex foam pillow to replace my four year old beloved latex foam pillow that has been turning into dust…but still super comfy.The only reason the Organic textiles pillow did not work for me is because it is a high loft size. It’s very soft and my head sinks into it but my neck is canted a little too far forward because of the thickness. If that doesn’t bother you this might be the right pillow for you. Also there’s barely any offgassing latex smell that many people complain of. The pillow is exactly as pictured in the photographs coming with pin holes instead of large dime size holes which tend to be uncomfortable. Really this is a great pillow overall.You can purchase latex foam pillows in high loft, mid loft and low loft design, With the center of the pillow ranging from 2 inches to 8 inches or more of center height. Personally I require a mid loft design. Fortunately a company called Brooklyn bedding does offer a mid loft design, although it only comes in medium and firm. I purchased a queen size and took a chance with the medium firmness, mid loft, approximately 5 inches in the middle. This pillow feels perfect while lying on my back, side or stomach. And on my back my head and neck is not canted too far forward. Fortunately my wife likes the organic textiles pillow that didn’t work for me, but works perfect for her as an in between the leg pillow.Tips:Don’t throw your old pillow away until you are 100% sure your new pillow is perfect for you. This may take several days of sleeping on.Buy fishers finery brand 30mm pure silk pillowcases. They are therapeutic for your skin super soft and very tough in the washer and dryer and maintain their softness after lots of washings. There is no better pillowcase this is the best money can buy, Worth every penny.I purchased two standard size latex foam pillows that are placed next to the armrests on my living room couch with pillowcases matching the couch color. The pillows add a new level of comfort and functionality to the couch.Good luck in your pillow search!UPDATED REVIEW: Two months later I’m upgrading to 5 Stars. The Brooklyn bedding pillow, even with it’s low profile is just too dense and giving me a neck ache. I ended up swapping out to the organic textiles that my wife was sleeping on. The pillow actually got a little softer since she broke it in for me 😊 and I can now say that the pillow is perfect!

Wonderful! I’ve had a hundred pillow in my 73 years, but this is the best I’ve ever owned. I bought a couple for family members.

I purchased four of these in total. Latex pillows are what I grew up with as a child and I was thrilled to find them here. This pillow when received took a couple nights to get used to. It seemed a bit high for me and extra bouncy not easy to mold around my head because it would want to bounce back to its original form. It came with a paper saying to give it a couple of nights to adjust to the change and honestly after the couple of nights, I love it! It seems to be able to mold around my neck without popping out. I gave one to my elderly mother and she too had to adjust to it and now loves it. I don’t know if they have a pillow that is slightly slimmer as I would love to have one like that too. Very happy with this pillow.

I had a latex pillow for 20 years and finally had to replace it due to it starting to flake apart. Got one at BB&B that was great and OF COURSE like clockwork they discontinued it. While trying to stop fighting my boyfriend nightly for the "good pillow" the great search began again. I stumbled upon this one maybe a year or two ago online while doing a top 10 latex pillow search. I didn't purchase until recently. I got the extra soft because I need to sleep very horizontal. It was too soft for me. Instead of doing a return through Amazon I decided to contact them directly because reviews stated they were great about handling their own issues. They sure we're. They sent me a return label and the next firmness up (soft) as soon as they got it. No extra fees. I did not require any breaking in time for this pillow. Which is unheard of. In fact, I kept waking up the first night feeling thrown off about how comfortable I was. So for those of you looking for the illusive BB&B pillow, this is it, and they probably have a density for everyone. I would guess a medium would be closest to that one. No more fights over the good pillow!
