Her vision, presented in a quiet, intelligible, rational manner commands your attention. A brave concerned author, a beautiful writer and a landmark study of "the sea around us."Magnificent.

Maybe the first, and still perhaps the best science bestseller. The book begins with the encompassing "mother sea" that once covered the whole earth, and from which the first forms of life evolved in a captivating fashion.

Gets overshadowed by Carson's other work, but this is still an amazing read!

I enjoy reading this book and learning/refreshing this fragile nature. We all must protect it.
