I haven't had it long and it's to extend the storage of my Macbook Air. If you are running majave or beta Cataline you may have to reformat but so far so good. Better than most SSDs I've tried.

Good value buy for the 256GB capacity

Using it with the phone for about 1 year. It is obviously not as fast as the internal memory, which is noticeable but also expected. Works as intended.

very disappointing, only had moderate use, but sdxc card (256gb) died suddenly after just 8 months. Will not mount on any OS now, all information lost :(do not rely on this card is the moral I suppose

This short review is for the Transcend 128GB microSD card, not the 256GB card it seems to have got mixed in with. [EDIT May 2020: However, I've now bought a 256GB card - see below]My Fiio X3 II has no problems playing hi-res FLAC files with this card, so its transfer rate is fast enough.Surprisingly the write speed was only around 30MB/sec, using Win 10 and my usual USB 3.0 kit. However, since my PC's reformat USB 3.0 hasn't been up to its usual speed on other devices, so I can't blame the card.To sum up: it's Transcend, it's a respected brand (not some oddly-named unknown brand card), and it works fine...EDIT: May 2020 256GB microSD card purchaseThe 256GB card writes at around 30MB/sec (USB 3.0 adaptor) and seems fine. Bought this to store films and TV on my Surface Pro. Quick transfer, no buffering or jitters on playback. Excellent product that arrived very quickly.
