I was a little hesitant by the previous comment about it being hard to put together and what not.... But this product is perfect for any aspiring photographer. It's a cheap set, and honestly is easy to figure out hot to put it together, the only part that required instructions wast he bigger soft boxes... And there were instructions.The legs and construction is a little cheap but it doesn't need to be anything special for sub $200 entire backdrop and lighting kit. I love the carrying case and used it today for a photoshoot. They were really impressed by the set up, and then I brought it back home and set it up in my basement in about 10 minutes. It really doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.Just make sure to look at the main picture and note that the boom box has a black part hanging from the other end, that's really necessary to make sure to keep an even balance on the legs.This set gives a perfect white light and would recommend this set to anyone from a professional to an amateur because it's cheap yet still gives you exactly what you need.

I purchased this kit to take some product shots. I've ended up using it at a few parties for a photo booth. It is perfect for someone who is going to use it on occasion, but I don't see this holding up under intensive use. The stands are a bit wobbly and the screws strip VERY easily. I've lost the ability to raise one of my lights because the screws are stripped. The backdrops need to be steamed before each use as they get very wrinkly. A portable steamer is necessary if you are transporting the backdrops and photo kit to a "gig".I really can't complain though, you can't beat the price.

I was very hesitant to purchase this because so many reviews are very poor. I literally NEVER review anything so this means a lot. This is a great product. It arrived quickly, very neatly packaged. All parts were intact and fully operational. So many reviewers claim that the pieces break right away because they are so cheap. They aren't professional grade materials, but you are paying $180. If you can't understand that you shouldn't over-tighten a light bulb or a wing nut, then maybe Darwinism will take effect on you. This is a GREAT kit for someone that is just experimenting or wanting to have fun. I probably wouldn't recommend it to someone who is setting it up and taking it down a lot. If you are, then pay the money and get a professional kit. Just don't listen to all the other reviews from people saying to stay away. I would recommend this kit fully!

I ordered this set and received it within 7 days of ordering. It doesn't come with instructions, except for one page that has very little explanation and a few pictures. Looking up videos on Youtube about how to put it together was useless, because the parts that I received were different than the ones on the videos. I emailed the company about this, and they responded quickly. But just gave me a link to someone else's video on how to use the part I had received. It still didn't really work the way that it should have like the video said it would. Some of the tightening screws for the stands wouldn't tighten enough to keep the light from falling back down. Others would tighten, but then when trying to loosen, the nut had stripped the plastic and was unable to release. I get that this is a cheap starter set. But there are just some things that can't be overlooked, even at the $200 price point! This kit is awful! I would not recommend this kit to anyone. I planned on using it for newborn photography, and there is no way I could feel it would be safe placing a baby anywhere near this set! I am returning for a refund. Happy that Amazon sticks by their return policy! =)

Great studio kit and very well equiped. But of you're shooting with the white backdrop, the lighthing is not strong enough to get a perfect white background. So you might want to consider a real studio for this....otherwise the other backdrops are fine.Personnally, this kit makes the job...

The muslin are nothing more that sheets with a pole slot sewn at the top. The light with the boom is very hard to adjust and will fall if you don't watch out. I had to go to the hardware store and jerry-rig it so that it would stay together. The lights are good though - I will say that.

Its not terrible.

The price is cheap but it does the job. You just need to take good care of it since it might break at some point. The carry on bag is great, atleast it can hold the weight of the metals. 10 feet width with atleast 7 foot high... not bad indeed.
