I think I'm addicted.
I've been eating protein bars as breakfast to boost my protein intake. I was eating the Quest bars before, but they were a little chalky and I regretted the time I ate two in a day. These bars are a definite improvement in taste and ingredient quality. They're less sweet than Quest (in a good way), which was an adjustment at first. I have grown to like the flavor a lot. The texture is a little gummy and can stick to the roof of your mouth like peanut butter, but I don't mind. I do wish it came in smaller or half sizes - I can't eat just half of one. I have ordered these a few times but haven't tried the coconut flavor. I am intrigued though, but I keep thinking I need the chocolate... (update: I tried the coconut date, and it's less gummy and I don't miss the chocolate)Update 2: I've been eating these for almost a year and a half, and they are the best. They're currently of stock and I can't find anything to replace them. I recently tried Altas protein bars (very hard and chewy, too sweet), RXBAR (chocolate sea salt melted in my car, weird taste, too sweet), Kind Protein (peanut butter was too sweet and tasted like protein powder). I can't find anything without alcohol sugars or stevia - bars that seem to use these as ingredients add way too much.Photos from May 20, 2018. They seem to change their ingredients from time to time.Update 3: the new, smaller bars are a bit dry and less good. Still better than anything else I've tried.

Really love these bars! My favorite snack/quick meal replacement!
***Update: 8/6/18***The quality of these bars started to vary the last few times I ordered them, with cacao chips being nearly nonexistent (a whole box with only 2 chips/chunks present on the bottom of each bar). And they were getting hard to find on Amazon-- constantly out of stock. I emailed the company and they didn't have any. They have been unavailable on Amazon for a while now. Now I see on the company website they are having some new flavors "coming soon", and they have 12 grams of protein per bar and are 42 grams. Also the flavor is called "peanut butter chocolate". Looks like they are cutting the bars in half and packaging them that way. I'm hoping the recipe remains the same as these were a real winner in their original iteration. Reducing my original 5-star rating to 4 stars because of variations in quality in the original bars.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I tried these bars on a whim because I was looking for a protein bar with whey protein, which I consider to be higher quality protein, and no weird ingredients (what I call 'unpronounceables'), sugar alcohols, etc. These seemed to fit the bill. I figured they might be bland or uninteresting, but I was really surprised. I really love the taste and texture of these bars! The PB Cacao flavor has a hint of peanut butter flavor, but they are chewy and a little chocolatey with the cacao chips, and completely sustaining. What I especially love about these bars is that they keep me going-- I don't get a sugar high then a sugar crash after eating one. I get sustained energy, and-- maybe this is psychological-- but I just feel really, really good after eating one. I've been eating these daily for over a month and I've actually noticed that I have more energy overall (maybe I wasn't eating enough protein before?). These bars have a whopping 21 grams of protein per bar. Compare that to other protein bars. And they don't have giant list of unpronounceables in the ingredients-- the PB Cacao has just 7 ingredients, These bars have become an important part of my diet. It is true that they are higher in calories than other protein bars (320 in the PB Cacao), but that may also be why they are so sustaining. They are a hefty 85 grams of bar so they are larger than others as well. If you are trying to do high protein but don't want to consume as many calories, you could try just consuming 1/2 at a time. I have actually tried that, more to cut down on the cost than the calories, but I find myself scarfing down the rest of the bar anyway. I really love them! Good news on cost, though: I contacted the company and they said I could get a discount ordering directly through them in bulk (10 boxes). I think that is going to work out really well for me. And the folks I contacted at the company seemed friendly and very responsive as well. I use these bars often as a meal replacement for lunch or as a workout recovery snack. I really can't recommend these bars enough-- if I could give them 10 stars I would.

Used to be my Favorite Protein Bar!
Updated: Everything I and many others advised them not to do what they did: smaller, from around 85g to 79g, loss of quality ingredients, anything organic is now gone, lower quality and less fiber, from 20g to 12g. I used to rate these five stars, hate the bait and switch tactic that occurred, check my pics and compare the difference, even though one is Coconut and the other is Peanut Butter flavor, you’ll readily see the difference. I still like them, though just extremely dissatisfied with the change, this is why they were unavailable for months. They also raised the price nearly four dollars as well, yeah, no joke!Exceptionally impressed, the ingredients and attention to delivering a high-quality bar is second to none. I work a lot of long days, and get up exceptionally early in the morning, this bar and a good mixed protein shake keeps me going easily until lunch. I ordered these for the first time just recently, after the first bar, I jumped on Amazon to order two more boxes, These are likely to be my go to bar, oh sure, I'll buy some of the other popular brands from time-to-time, Think Thin, Quest, Chef Jay's, Nugo, Pure Protein, Kind, Clif, Kirklands, Oh Yeah and a few others, though this is my new favorite. These bars are the real deal, so far I've only tried the Peanut Butter, easily a 10! Well done, Pottentia, don't ever change and/or skimp on the size or ingredients.
