Durable, good paper texture
Really great papery texture, helpful matte finish, it is a great help for those who would draw (or even write) on their tablets. If you can apply it correctly, it will stay put without peeling and will serve you for a long long time until the texture itself wears out and becomes relatively smooth again - but even then, it is not the slippery glass quality as the original screen and can still work well.

awesome screen protector
I do a lot of photoshop drawing and design on my surface go. I did not want to use my pen until I had a protector because I was nervous about it scratching the screen. I am very happy with this protector. It feels like paper and much better to draw on than a plan tablet screen. it also helps with a lot of glare because of its matte finish.Putting the screen protector on takes patience and practice.. however this comes with TWO peel of screens. one is on the back that reveals the adhesive only pull this off first and place it on your tablet. it took me a while to get the placement just right because this protector is almost a PERFECT fit to the surface go screen. Having the top blue peel off layer on allows you to pick the screen up and lay it back down to get the perfect placement. Once you have to in place SLOWLY peel off the top blue layer. Valla! It did take some time to remove all the bubbles but that's normal with a non wet apply screen protector. try softly pushing the bubbles out from the middle of the screen towards the edge with a credit card or flat object as such a credit card and it will help a lot.

Terrible at first, but don't give up, it gets better with use and wear and is paperlike eventually
At first I was ready to pull it off and throw it in the garbage. The surface texture >>at first<< was horrible to write on, or to use by touch. It was awful. Before I tossed it however, I decided to try to give it some wear to knock down that surface texture a bit. So, I took the hard card that came with it to push air bubbles out with - and started scraping it across the screen to wear down the surface texture a little. Tried writing, much better. Then I did more scraping the surface and eventually got to the type of feel I was looking for, paperlike friction when using the pen, and good finger glide when using the swift keyboard. Bingo - it really is bad at first, but stick with it and it'll get better with use. I added one to a second tablet and used a beach towel to rub the surface texture and that worked too.Ok, so that's good:Anti-Glare works great. The textured surface cuts down a lot on reflections. Awesome. The paperlike texture eventually comes out, by lots of use or using something to wear down the initial texture. It's terrible at first, but don't fret - once worn down it is very paperlike. What's not good:The initial surface texture is terrible to use with pen or touch. It's really bad. As mentioned - this goes away with use/wear.The colors of your screen are muted, and dulled by the surface texture. The same thing that helps reduce glare so well, also degrades your screen colors and contrast. If you're an artist, try something else. If you're a productivity person working in Office and tools like that, this works fine.

Suprisingly better than expected
Well, I just applied this about a day ago and I wasn't sure what to expect. But I have to admit it is way better than I expected. I was concerned that it wasn't truly going to reduce glare and even worse - reduce the quality of the screen. I'm an artist....so I'm picky about screen quality. I intend to use this for casual drawing, writing and reading. And so far...it feels like I have a new tablet! Almost like those e-ink displays. It feels natural instead of that sterile feel of glass. I notice my eyes aren't strained anymore, a welcomed suprise. And it does work nicely outside. It feels more ...idk, relaxing when I read and write on this. It's an unusual surprise...it really is like I'm interacting with something like paper. I was thinking I might have wasted my money, but I'm happy :) If I had to find any criticism it would be, they should have included two instead of just one screen cover. And I wish it was a tad clearer. You do notice a very slight reduction in sharpness. But...somehow it doesn't bother me at all. If I wanted to do serious art on here, I would probably do without this protector? Maybe? But, for what it achieves for me, the experience overall...it's pretty awesome!

Cannot use touchscreen once this is on
First, the installation was a little tricky - the last step is to remove the covering from the front of the screen protector, and the covering stuck so well that the protector kept lifting off of the screen. I was able to get it off with only a couple of dust particle underneath, and they were on the bezel, so that was fine. The protector fit perfectly and has a nice matte finish - using the Surface pen on it was great.Unfortunately, when I tried using my fingertip - no response. Tried a few different things, nothing.I finally gave up and removed it - if you will only be using the Surface pen/keyboard/mouse, it's great. If you want to use the touchscreen with your fingertip, not so much.

Difficult to put on
It works well so far and definitely feels more like paper but it was very difficult to put on. The package came with two thankfully because i messed up the first one and had to use the second one and still couldn't get all of the dust and bubbles out completely.

Easy to apply and perfect writing without blurry image
I chose this matte protector film for its paper-like texture.Applying this film to this Surface tablet is easier than other tablets because it has a built-in stand which enables it to reduce the chance of dust falling on the screen. I recommend cleaning the desk with a damp cloth to avoid falling dust blowing out air and preparing a LED spotlight to visualize dust on the screen. I recommend using a Zeiss lens wipe. Clean the screen in only one direction and fold the wipe each time. This film is excellent. The cut size is perfect. It is a matte film with no blurry screen, and good writing feel without any issues for touch control.
