Kenwood Kfc-P509Ps 5.25-Inch Performance Series Component Speaker System

first off this is the second set of these i have bought, but probably will not be the last. the first thing you notice about these speakers is how they are packaged, in that the box is fairly small because everything is packed very tightly together, with foam meaning that you don't really have to worry about parts being damaged. Installation is simple enough for component speakers, the crossovers are inline on the tweeter and built in to the woofer. the tweeters come with surface mount, flushmount, and a swivel mount hardware. although if you've never installed component speakers before it may be a bit challenging. audio quality wise i am using a pair of these and a pair of 12 inch boston acoustic subs and the sound is amazing it's like swimming in a sea of sound end of review

Best bang for your buck! These speakers sound great! For $61, nothing else can touch them. Yes some speakers may sound better, but you will have to spend at least twice as much to even get a speaker as good. These sell for alot more elsewhere. I would definitely purchase these again. Decent bass for the size and crisp clear highs.

I installed these in the rear of my 2009 Corvette. I discarded the tweeters as I already had JL-audios in the front doors. These have an absolutely perfect bass response to fill the gab between my 8" subs and my JL-mid/highs. My sound stage is perfect with these. No complaints. Also, the DB response curve with the power input is really nice and easy to modulate with the AMP. Be aware of other 5" speakers who have 30-ish watt RMS ratings. When you crank the volume they can tend to ramp up the volume faster than any other speakers resulting in painful mid-high volume levels. These don't do that. Nice warm low-mid response.

great speakers at a great price...connecting to an appropriate amp is key to best sound for sure!! I would buy again.

As the cheapest 5.25" component set I could find, I didn't expect these speakers to be particularly impressive. Hooked up to a sony xplod head unit these speakers deliverd clear, crisp, distortion free highs, mids and lows no matter how high I cranked them (well beyond any reasonable listening volume). They do a great job and installation was a snap, the tweeters fit great even in the tiny door mounts the stock tweeters had occupied.

both speakers where blown straight from the box....B stock returns for sure....never seen such poor product...either factory rejects, or knock offs, but ive never in my life seen such a poor kenwood product. Feel it might be a seller issue......dont buy...absolute crap...

I installed these components in the front doors of my 2007 F150 SCREW. I've got these and a set of 6x8 3 ways in the rear being pushed by a KAC-M1804,45x4, amplifier and they sound amazing! Crystal clear sounds all the way around. Without the amp I could turn my radio up to about 30 before they would start to get a little distorted. Now I cant turn the volume up past 25 because its just too loud. The clarity is incomparable with the amp. If your gonna put them in go ahead and spend a few extra bucks for an amp. You will not be sorry.
