After installing LED bulbs, the turn signals wouldn't flash. LED bulbs don't draw enough current to activate the flasher relay. This equalizer plugs directly in-line, right in to your existing harness and works instantly. I've seen a few reviews mentioning that it gets hot if left on for a longer period of time. I can't say I've had that issue. It's been on the bike for about a month now and no issues as of yet.
